Guest guest
What did your doctor say? Did he find any health issues? Were you diagnosed with migraines, tension headaches? The reason I ask is that headaches can be a sign of many things, and it's a good thing to rule our anything serious before looking for a natural solution, at least from my perspective. A blood test might reveal a chemical imbalance. Some simple causes of headaches you might explore are dehydration and stress. About 90% of my headaches resolve by catching up with my water intake. I'm probably guilty of the if-you're-a-hammer-everything-looks-like-a-nail syndrome, but I have clients who have been coming to me for massage therapy for many years to manage their headaches. They tell me that massage doesn't cure their headaches, but they get them less frequently, less severely, and they last a shorter period of time. I usually focus on the muscle tension in their head, neck, and shoulders, plus any unique tension they are holding. If you want to learn a little more about headaches, Google headaches and medicine, and headaches and natural remedies. You might also try migraines. If you would like to find a massage therapist, contact me off list and I would be happy to help you find a good practitioner in your area. Guest guest
Your symptoms are too vague to diagnose. I don't know your age so you might want to be concerned about venous health in your head area but if you are of younger years consider a very mild muscle relaxer......gaba ( amino acid) does real well for relaxation. medusa - " Dontez " <nvssml Tuesday, May 15, 2007 10:18 AM Major headaches and muscle spasms >I often have these punding headaches or at the least tightness in my > head and at times my muscles twitch I washoping to get sombody can > tell me somthing about this. Guest guest
There are a lot of reasons why this sort of thing happens, but from my experience, I've found that two things are the main culprits for causing headaches and muscle spasms... One, you're perhaps not drinking as much water as your body needs. Headaches are a major symptom of dehydration, and if you reach the headache stage, you have a lot of water to consume to ease them up. Two, I would look into a mineral imbalance. Not to be cliche, but are you eating a bananna a day? There are trace minerals and lots of potassium in banannas which help keep muscles smooth and electrical impulses firing in the body as they should. I would also make sure that you are getting enough calcium and vitamin C in your diet as well. A shortage of both can cause some of these symptoms. But I would also look at your stress level...do you work and/or live in an environment which CONSTANTLY stresses you out? Perhaps a change might be in order, even if it is something so simple as meditating for a few minutes a couple of times a day. I hope this helps. Posturally it is not sensible to look at your problem in isolation, if the head is sitting on top of a crooked spine because you have a body imbalance, ie one leg apparantly longer than the other, then that is the start of your problem, resulting in neck and cranial bones restriction. You need a good holistic Osteopath. Muscles are attached to bones so correct the imbalance and the muscles have no reason to spasm. Headaches are fluid pressure if the problem is structural, blood is pumped up by the heart and can't get back down again, vaso dilators help but they don't solve the problem. Toxic diet is the other part of fluid retentions and I suggest you find a natural therapy allergy tester or use an home tester, to isolate your dietary foods or drinks. I have some sheets on headaches, body balance and allergy advice, if anyone would like them. Regards, Don Moody. nasalb0ne.
Guest guest
Yes, those sheets may be the thing I need. I've tried to change diets several times also acupunture and exercise. Maybe those sheets might help in detail. Thank you. nasalb0ne <donmoody wrote: --- In , " Dontez " <nvssml wrote: > > I often have these punding headaches or at the least tightness in my > head and at times my muscles twitch I washoping to get sombody can > tell me somthing about this. > Dear 'DONTEZ', You don't say where the muscle spasms are, so presuably face and neck, and assuming that we can rule out pathology, then two valid possibilities are posture and diet. Guest guest
Thank you Samuel. Those I have worked with were not able to get rid of their headaches completely, but they did get significant relief. Perhaps you will be more fortunate. Oh, and one woman did mention that her headaches faded away after menopause, so perhaps there is an hormonal component. You might look at the possibility of food allergies. There is a rotation diet, where you remove foods from your died one at a time and see if it changes your symptoms. It's a lot of work, but then, so are your headaches, I expect. When did you start getting your headaches? Perhaps there is a clue there. Toni On 5/16/07, Samuel Nieves <nvssml wrote: > > I aploogise for the breif letter, I am 25 yrs old. Guest guest
Try natural remedies but please ask your doctor to examine you and see if you need to see a specialist as it may be something more serious as a tumor or such and time is essential in such cases.-please drink plenty of filtered water. nasalb0ne <donmoody wrote: --- In , " Dontez " <nvssml wrote: > > I often have these punding headaches or at the least tightness in my > head and at times my muscles twitch I washoping to get sombody can > tell me somthing about this. > Dear 'DONTEZ', You don't say where the muscle spasms are, so presuably face and neck, and assuming that we can rule out pathology, then two valid possibilities are posture and diet.
