Guest guest
Does anyone know of a good essential fatty acid supplement for children? Not in capsule form because he cannot chew capsules. I use UDO's but he has a sensativity to sunflower oil-he's allergic to ragweed which it's in the same family. He also will not take it if it tastes like fish--he's not a fish eater. Thanks for any help-i'm at my wits end and tired of buying stuff he won't take! Marci
Guest guest
My 3 year old loves Carlson brand Gel capsule DHA. They taste like orange and she actually asks me for them! They are a gel capsule so they can be squeezed out and taken if needed. I have also heard a lot of good about coromega. You can find out more about it at www.coromega.com. You can get a free sample and see for yourself if it works. It was recommended for my kids because it comes in little packets and had a pudding like consistency and is supposed to taste really good with no after taste. Guest guest
Have you tried Coromega? It's fish oil in an orange pudding sort of flavor. Very tasty! I've also tried the chocolate orange one, but I didn't like it that much. I think they have another flavor now, too, but I haven't tried it. In looking at their site to see if they list ingredients (they don't - you might want to look at it in a store or ask them, but I don't see safflower oil listed in the ones I have on hand), I see they also now have a version specifically for kids: http://www.coromegakids.com/ You also can get a free sample at their original site, but I don't know if you can get the kids' version or just the regular one. Probably be worth asking them that, too, so you don't have to waste more money. Good luck! I used to have a picky kid who now is an adventurous adult who will eat just about anything so hang in there.
