Guest guest
Mel, Your post on " Is Psychiatry Scientific and Dangerous? " is long and I've printed it down so I can read it tonight. But after very, very briefly reviewing it I'll say this: The human mind is a mystery. Throw in disease and physical and emotional environment and it becomes even more confusing. Finding the right therapist (and the process if like finding a really good friend, kind of rare) is part of the key. Even being a good medical doctor is part art. There are no concretes. Great strides have been made in anti-depressants, but what works for one does not work for another. That should in no way take away from one person's need of some kind of chemical assistance. I think the only thing that is pure science is mathematics. Dede
