Guest guest
Yes, vitamins control an important part of our body. Vitamin supplements are one of the most salable medicines in any drugstores. However, please bear in mind that your digestive organs might forget how to absorb minerals from fresh fruits and vegetables you eat, if you are depending on those ready-made vitamin minerals. It is because your digestive organs learned the easiest way to absorb ready-made vitamins rather than non-digested fresh fruits and vegetables. We are trying to encourage our friends to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables to get vitamin minerals, not from tablet or liquid form of vitamin supplements. Today, young parents try to give a lot of vitamin supplements to their children, thinking it will help their children's health and growth. Probably, they are influenced by T.V. commercials. Yes, it is true that life expectancy for Japanese is already the longest in the world. Female life expectancy is about 86 years or more and about 79 years for male. Aren't these figures due to vitamins and other kinds of modern medicine? That's what I am worried. During the time of our old folks, they eat traditional foods such as fish, rice, vegetables and lots of fruit for the season. And we were healthy and with happy long life. Today, numbers of old citizen are increasing but they look just like a living dead. They are not healthy at all. Their bodies accept only foods from fast food chains such as hamburgers and instant noodles and uncountable number of vitamins and other medicines d by doctors under governmental medicare. The body (digestive system) of senior citizens are somewhat changed to accept only soft foods and ready-made vitamins and medicines. If they eat fresh foods, stomach troubles might occur and the foods will not be digested at all. Their body is forgetting to absorb nutrients from foods they eat, and will only depend on ready-made vitamins. We recommend you to take a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables with other seafoods. How about fresh meat, fish, seaweeds, tofu, etc.? For sure, these daily foods will keep you healthy and have a longer life. Do not let your baby and children take vitamin supplements too much. It will just destroy their body, especially when they grow up. They will be just like living dead, the same as many senior citizens in my country, Japan. Let your children eat fresh vegetables and fruits and fresh meat and seafoods. Their body will never forget to absorb nutrients from those fresh foods and they will grow healthy. I am glad that there were no vitamin supplements during our childhood, especially during 1930 – 1946 in Japan. All my brother and family clans grew up with breast- feeding and natural fresh foods. We are now old enough, but we are all healthy and bright. Only sickness my brother and I suffered during childhood was tuberculosis. Now, our children are also grown up and we have grandchildren and great grandchildren, too. Thanks to God, we are all fine and healthy. --------------------------- About the Author: Junji Takano is a Japanese health researcher and has been studying the causes of viruses since 1960. Guest guest
One thing I really loved about living in Lima, Peru was the wide variety of inexpensive fresh fruit in the markets. Last time I went there was for a month and lost 30 lbs. The whole time we ate fresh fruit and vegetables, and as meat we mostly had fresh cuhicken. It was killed and plucked within 24 hrs. before eating - not frozen or drugged like we get here. If you wanted a snack you ate grapes or coconut or plums. You come home feeling alot better. , " pyroen3 " <pyroen3 wrote: > > Yes, vitamins control an important part of our body. I grew up in post-war Holland, and the only supplement we got was cod liver oil (the original flavor, shudder). Most of our food was seasonal and local. AND: something has happened to the food supply since 1946. Totally apart from the individual choices people make, what do you think 60 years of industrial style farming has done to the mineral content of the soil? Let's just say that back in 1936 the USA Senate was worried about that issue. So these days we can't quite get our goods from food alone, we need some concentrated nutrition now and then. Whole food-based nutritional supplements seem to be growing in popularity, people are getting smart! I have a friend who was trained in the macrobiotic system of healing with food. When she started in the sixties just whole foods would often do the trick. But 40 years later she finds she needs the more concentrated power of herbs, esential oils, and wild algae to get results. Whole food-based nutritional supplements seem to be growing in popularity, people are getting smart! There are many, different products agree with different folks. That's another topic.
