Guest guest
By pure coincendence I found a cure for constipation (extremely slow transition ~ once every 4 - 5 days) and that is eating one large carrot at night time! We starting chomping on a carrot while watching tv at night time and have done for a while now, and I suddenly noticed I was no longer constipated..from going once very 4-5 days I now go every day. I thought this easy cure might help others out there. Have the carrot after dinner with nothing else before you go to bed at night. I would love to hear of anyone trying this and finding out how it works for you. Guest guest
I'll suggest that to my mom, who goes only every 10-14 days or so. She is desperate for anything. Guest guest
I eat carrot salad for breakfast. I use yogurt instead of mayo. The only bad thing in the salad is the marshmallows. Even with the marshmallows, I think it is healthier than cereal. And yes, I do find that it keeps me more regular than oatmeal.

Guest guest
She hasn't had any luck adding fibers to her diet. I keep trying to get her to take some pro biotics but I don't think she ever will unless I buy them for her. heather anderson <handerson4388 wrote: if that doesn't work give momma benefiber.. in a drink it doesn't change taste and works like a charm.. i give to my 7 year old and i take it in my whey shakes..its great! also a yogurt called Activia it helps w/ constipation too!! Guest guest
Can you share the recipe or point me to a link? Does that keep you full a while? I don't want to change the topic, but your post caught my attention as I've been seeking a different breakfast idea. I can't have eggs or tofu, and I get really tired of cereal or a whole wheat English muffin or oatmeal plus they don't keep me full long. Thanks! Guest guest
Ann Louise Gittleman's Fat Flusher Plan is great for resolving constipation. Guest guest
I have been constipated all my life, even after I changed my diet to a very healthy one... but lately somebody told me to take a calcium, magnesium pill or capsule three times a day... and this did not just cure my constipation but also seems to relax me... Guest guest
Carrot recipes can be found on http://allrecipes.com/ I don't use measurements. Whatever amount looks good to me I use. I use carrots, unsweeted pineapple, raisens, vanilla yogurt marshmallows and cashews(any nut you got on hand). I eat a big bowl and it keeps me full. Guest guest
Yes Cal-Mag complex also should include D vitamin. Cal-Mag has also been known to cure Chronic constipation because when the body is in mineral deficiency it uses what stores it does have for other functions. Powder form is the most effective, then liquid. Tablets take too long to dissolve and you will not get the full dosage due to poor break down. Your body can only anbsorb 600mg at a time and only 1200mg a day. The rest is wasted and eliminated from the body. Pure Water, Mineral, Amino Acid, Fatty Acid and Enzyme Deficiencies are a major cause IMO to most issues in the body. Guest guest
I make something like that only instead of yogurt I put in a bit of orange juice and honey and I skip the nuts. I first tried it in a moroccan resteraunt where it was being served between meals as a palate cleanser. palmtreeswinger <palmtreeswinger wrote: Carrot recipes can be found on http://allrecipes.com/ I don't use measurements.
