Guest guest
I can't speak for everyone, but it certainly caused depression in me. It started the minute I got on the drug and continued for years after I was off it. Much like the brain damage caused by illegal drugs takes years to heal after quitting the drug, if it ever heals at all. --- patty <patt1 wrote: > Hi, > Dr Ann Blake Tracy has done alot of research on this > topic! her info: . > http://www.drugawareness.org/home.html > > It could be true that antidepressents cause > depression and more. > > > ::patty:: > >
Guest guest
Mine started when I was put on Ritalin for ADD then Mellaril so I could sleep....vicious cycle...that lasted 28 years. I am antidepressant & Ritalin free today because I have Biofeedback available to help with stress reduction, EEG balancing and Nutrition/homeopathics to help with hormone,NLP to help balance neurotransmitters and emotions. Guest guest
Hi Jenny, I'm in hopes one day to be off my meds too. I'm proud to say i am off of clonazepam. It's been 2-3 weeks now and feeling pretty good considering. I have started taking half of my zoloft being a week into that, but not attempting being off it totally. My doc seems to think if i get off everything i could fall back into a deep depression. Well, of course this is possible but i'm not going to wait for that day. I'm the first to say i don't want to fall into that slump again....it's not fun at all. I just cannot wait the day i am free of this. I do wish there were something that really works for fibromylagia. What would one take for chronic pain? I'm talking about muscles that are so tight i want to take a sledge hammer to them...i am not kidding. I need some relief and perscribed meds are not cutting it. Thanks for listening, Carol ----Original Message Follows---- Jenny Kernan <rainysnana Re: antidepressents Sun, 22 Apr 2007 09:09:53 -0700 (PDT) Mine started when I was put on Ritalin for ADD then Mellaril so I could sleep....vicious cycle...that lasted 28 years. Guest guest
Carol, Congratulations on the changes and the determination to make things better. Keep up the good work. Couple of things to think about: 1. Any diet sweeteners can cause several of the symptoms you spoke of. I have actually been going through aspartame withdrawls for the last couple of months..not fun at all. 2. You may find that after you have been off the meds you actually start to feel better. Detoxing can also help immensely. A magnetic clay bath detox is probably a good start in addition to internal detoxing. 3. Get some Inositol, it's a supplement that has been found to help balance the brain to avoid the depression and other issues when the neurotransmitters are out of balance. 4. I would find someone who does Quamtum Biofeedback. I have been working with clients who are also detoxing from Benzodiazpine withdrawls and we are making excellent progress using the Biofeedback for stress reduction/relaxation, pain management, depression relief and detoxing. Quantum Biofeedback is also capable of working with Fibromyalgia and balancing brain waves and neurtransmitters. I would be happy to refer you to someone. I also do remote sessions. If you would like more info on Quantum Biofeedback you can visit my webpages at www.quantumassociatesofutah.com under the publications link there are many articles on QB. I'm here if you need to talk. I understand how frustrating it can be when allopathics aren't giving relief and you're at your wits end in pain and depression.
