Guest guest
I thought I was Ms Organic, but it turned out my priorities were topsy turvy. I always buy the organic broccoli, even when the non-organic one is on special. But the gorgeous shiny non-organic green and red peppers always seduce me. They are the first item on the produce shelf when you enter the store and they usually look better than the organic ones. It turns out that peppers are one of the vegetables with the highest pesticide load. Broccoli is relatively minor. When it comes to fruit, I often pick up " regular " apples but won't go near bananas unless they are organic. Wrong again! Apples carry a high toxic load, much higher than bananas. Let's face it, we may not always be able to choose organically grown produce. So it is nice to know in which cases your organic choice makes the most difference. You'll find all the details here. http://www.foodnews.org/walletguide.php Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com
