I practiced it over many years, and it seemed to do good..along with the other Bates' method techniques, but found later that I had sustained many small retinal burns in both eyes. Use some common sense, and maybe speak to your doctor too. Perhaps look, but not directly at the disc of the sun..just near it..or at reflecting materials like sand or snow.
