Guest guest
Meridian therapy in electroacupuncture works to desesitize allergies or you could take supplementation like Allergy Release by Unicity. Increasing Vitamin C intake – because vitamin C doesn't stay in your body long, it is best to take multiple small doses through the day. Avoid taking vitamin C with calcium because they tend to block absorption of each other. Drink some green tea – I usually go for the decaf... one of my favorites is " Decaf Mint Green Tea " from Celestial Seasonings. Tea has synergistic effects with vitamin C, lots of anti-oxidants, and the warm beverage helps moisten your sinuses. Do you consume sugar, fruit juice, or alcohol? If so, consider avoiding these things while allergies are active. Cut down or eliminate your dairy intake, too. Keep your clothes, linens, and household surfaces clean to cut down on the pollens in your house, and close the windows if it is windy outside. I use " facial dips " to help keep my sinuses clear. Basically, you fill a bowl with warm slightly-salty water and stick your face in it. First open your eyes to clear any crud out of them then close your eyes and blow bubbles with your nose. If you're comfortable with it, draw some water up your nose and let it back out. Be sure to come up for breaths as needed. Speaking of eyes and nose, keep your fingers out of them to avoid delivering the allergens straight to them. I've also found that diffusing an essential oil blend of lavender and peppermint helps me. I use a nebulizer, which is a cold air diffuser that won't degrade the qualities of the oils. Use therapeutic grade oils... some I like are Young Living (best quality, expensive, sold through multi-level marketing distributors (of which I am one and you can contact me if you would like more information)) and Mountain Rose Herbs (pretty good, less expensive, buy directly from the company). Best of luck- Pamela

Guest guest
What if your allergies are not to pollen? I haven't been to a doctor to find out specifically, but its never been flowers that seem to cause my problems. I used to work in a greenhouse with flowers and my allergies were never better then. Its molds, trees and grasses that seem to bother me,when the cotton woods get going its the worst. I've always joked that I'm allergic to spring, summer and fall. mcdowellpk <mcdowellpk wrote: --- In , " BryantCandles.com " <bryantcandles wrote: > > Does anyone have any suggestions on seasonal allergies?? Guest guest
I've used stinging nettles for years and don't have to endure that awful sneezing, runny eyes and the rest. I get it in capsule form and generally take a capsule 3 times a day. It won't give you instant relief, though. Usually it seems to take 2-4 weeks to kick in. Guest guest
Hi Jessika Grasses and trees have pollen, too, but it is much finer and carried by the wind - often making it more problematic than the heavier flower pollens that are trasferred by insects. And from what I understand, mold spores are much the same way (small and easily carried in the air). (Grasses and trees tend to be my problem, too - along with many animals) So keeping your sinuses, body, clothes and linens clean (especially in windy weather) may bring you some relief. Watching what you eat is really helpful, too. Check out some of " The Zone " diet books by Dr Sears - I have found following his program has helped me get much healthier in general and less prone to allergies. Someone else mentioned acupuncture which I hear works exceptionally well for the folks in Austin, TX suffering from " Cedar Fever " (reaction to juniper cedar). If you have a household mold problem, diffusing " Theives " essential oil blend (from Young Living) has been found to be more effective than using chemical means like bleach. Apparently bleach just disperses the mold, making the problem worse. Pamela , Jessika Stone <remindersofthen wrote: > > What if your allergies are not to pollen? Guest guest
I used to do oil pulling, but since I became pregnant it makes me want to vomit when I do it. I figure I'll try again once the first trimester is over and I will hopefully be less sensative. --- " nwch.geo " <nwch.geo wrote: > Hi! > You can check this website: > www.oilpulling.com > > I used to have a lot of allergiess in spring, I > started to oilpulling a > few weeks ago. till now I don't feel any sign of > allergy. > Good luck! > > , Jenny > Kernan <rainysnana > wrote: > > > > Meridian therapy in electroacupuncture works to > > desesitize allergies or you could take > supplementation > > like Allergy Release by Unicity. > > > > Jenny Kernan > > --- " BryantCandles.com " bryantcandles > > wrote: > > > > > Does anyone have any suggestions on seasonal > > > allergies??
