Kate, The process of creating the negative ions also creates oxidation of the metal part of the ionizer. Combined with the minerals in the water you will see color change. The color is pretty much irrelevant. The odor will change quite a bit depending on the person and how many they do. There are a lot of unscrupulous people selling things and many are just plain unaware and will continue to promote false information. I've seen certain sites about my machine that are simply wrong. The manufacturer can't control every website. To get correct information go to the source which is the manufacturer. There are loads of very cheap machines out there that just don't do the job. One of my friends bought one from Ebay and is not having results with it. I'll email you what worked for my daughter's headaches when nothing (including the footbath) worked. It will give you a good indication of therapies that also didn't work since we tried lot of different things. The footbath works well for muscles and joints, less so for headaches. Guest guest
Linda, have you taken her to a dr. to have blood test done? HA are caused mostly by circulation problems, but also by either to high or low of vitamins or minerals. How about a zinc test? Have you done that on her yet? Stress can also cause HA. Does she just have HA or Migraines? Guest guest
Coming out of lurkdom to tell you about something I read that sounds crazy, but really seems to have lessened my headaches! Ready for this? I got a book on migraines and the author said that someone mentioned to her that she should get some amythest stone (purple stone - spell check won't give me correct spelling!) and wear one or keep it close in a pocket. Then have one or two others and put them around the bed for sleeping at night. (I keep mine in my pillow case --- underside, but I touch it when I put my hand under the pillow). Well, hard to believe, but I've had a lot less of them and the one or two I have had --- occurred on days I forgot to take the stone with me! Anyway - you might give it a try! Can't hurt - might help! Cat I am really curious about this topic. I would love a cure for migraines and that's what led me to this, but I just can't drop a whole lot of $$$ for something that, when investigated, had an end result like that.....If you can explain to me why the water result is the same, I would seriously try anything for help....thanks, Kate If you can't take the heat - don't tickle the dragon! ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
HA are also caused by imbalances in the body, lack of proper nutrition to the brain, spinal imbalance especially in the Occiput and cranial areas, and spinal energy imbalance. Allergic reactions can also cause chronic headaches, halogen lights are another reactive factor for head aches. Mental. emotional and physical Stress is another. Guest guest
Linda, The cause of her headaches was chronic meningitis (inflammation of the brain) caused by mercury. We detoxified with liquid zeolite which gets rid of the mercury (and other toxic metals). Whole thing cost me around $150. Small price compared to the thousands I've spent in the past on things that didn't work. My Mom is also finally seeing some improvement and having less intense pain with her migraines. NOTHING worked on her. She's been trying different things for most of her life to find a solution for this. We know she has problems with toxins since she had fibromyalgia. Need more info about that? Just email me off-group. Another thing that was slightly effective was NAET. She was able to tolerate scents and other items that used to give her headaches. She still got them just like clockwork, a day before a weather change. I read a very old document from the 1800's that said mercury rises with the weather changes. I've always suspected that but have not seen it anywhere in writing. Now I have to check the weather network which is awesome! Another thing that worked for a friend of mine a few years ago was using a far-infrared device on her trigger points as soon as she could feel a migraine coming on. A bit of a nuisance when you're on the go but better than nothing. She had also tried many, many different things, all of which worked for others but not her. Another thing you may find helpful is tissue salts. They are one of our favorite things for just about everything that comes up. My first aid kit has really shrank! Guest guest
Many headaches are improved by increasing circulation. In our cases this wasn't so. We used magnets which helped other conditions but not the headaches. Magnets can visibly (by thermographic imaging) increase circulation very quickly. Vitamin and mineral uptake may be blocked by toxins. One more thing: sometimes headaches are caused by misalignment of the spine, in particular the neck. Guest guest
Just a note to clear up the question of Headaches/Migraines, there are three sources:- 1. Medical/Trauma, clear those up first and then, 2. Alergic responses to food, drinks or toxins, natural testing for allergies is best. 3. Pressure in the head, treat the causetive factors not the pain/symptom. If the pressure comes on durig the day it's vaso- constriction in the neck, if the pressure comes on during sleep, or you wake with it, it's cranial pressure, if the head pressure is continuous it's both. The answer is return to body balance and mobility, especially cranial mobility, but make it holistic. Regards, nasalb0ne. , " Monique " <hrd2hldrls wrote: > > please share this info. with me as well. Guest guest
Lifestyle changes, diet changes, alernative healing modalies, supplementation via natural remedies, stress reduction and believe it or not Chiropractic or Structural therapy treatments to begin with (yes these are alternative as they are non-invasive). I work with a structural therapist to repair damage to my C-4 and Occiput due to a car wreck last spring. This along with theta and SCIO for Spinal Engergy Flow correction and Electro Accupuncture helps immensey. I have had neck injuries since a child that were never properly treated and the injury to my neck made them worse. A structural therapist can break up scarring and adhesions that pinch nerves and keep the spine from staying properly aligned.
