Carol,

Spirulina and other algae are powerful, dense, whole

nutrition from the bottom of the food chain.

Great stuff to build you up, especially if you get a

good brand. Spirulina is grown in man-made ponds, so

the nutritional value depends on the minerals used to

fertilize it. Like all algae it is quite perishable, so quality

varies from brand to brand. Cyanotech is probably the best.

Mike Adams at http://newstarget.com has a free e-book

on Spirulina and Chlorella. Go read up, you'll be pleased

with your choice! The wild fresh water algae AFA is

the nutritional love of my life. I practically worship it, lol.

As for natural sleep medication, remember to load up on the

calming minerals Calcium and Magnesium.

Herbal relaxants include Valerian, Hops, Passion flower,

Chamomile, Lemon Balm.

I just received a note from someone in my Amazon group.

She told me her formerly insomniac husband gave a sample of

Calmazon, which helps him, to a friend.

The friend reported his first good night's sleep in many months.

Please always keep in mind that different herbs/supplements

react well with different people. But, I don't think you can go

wrong with Spirulina! Don't be shy, it is food, eat lots.

I love the list of your maternal relatives! Quebec is a fascinating

place. The literature is totally different from that of the rest of

Canada. But, we digress. Can you spell ADD?

Hi Ien,

Thank you for the wonderful information on Spirulina. When i walked in the

health food store i was desperate for something to help me. One woman said

to get raw sea weed...there was none there, only packaged. Then another

mentioned the Spirulina, handed me the bottle and checked me out. She

wasn't playing around and when i asked her where it come from she told me

basically the same thing about the pond. I could care less where it's from

really as long as i can take it and doesn't make me gag. The company is

" NOW " , 500 MG grown in Hawaii. I have recently come off my Clonazepam and

feeling ok. I tend to wake up in the morning drenched from sweating. I

don't know if it's the dreams or meds or even pain i am having that does

this to me. It's been going on for quite some time. I still worry with the

central apnea and taking a low dose of narcotic. I have cut it in half

after realizing what was going on. I have been sleeping alot thinking the

lymphedema or lymes disease was doing this but now i feel differently. No

wonder i was crashing on my computer waking with key board marks on my face.

I had no idea it was the medication doing this to me since i use to take

way more than i do now and this never happened to me.

Well, now that i know the difference, i have changed afew things for the

better. I still have a whole lot of work but cannot rush it. I just pray

to regain some strength and hope to get out of this rotten rutt i'm in.

I love working my genealogy. It's been maybe 7 years now and so much to

learn. I have lost files afew diff. times due to the pc. I'll eventually

get back with it in time. Time is all i have, lol.

I wasn't sure what you ment by < Can you spell ADD? > Either i'm dense or

just cannot think right or both, :)

So, how many vitamins should i take? I'm taking only 1 until i hear

different. I tend to not trust what the doctor's say and this will probably

rub off on other things for awhile. But, you seem to know what Spirulina

does and highly recommend it. I will take what you think is best for me.

Thank you so much!!

Hugs,

Carol
