Guest guest
I am confused. Why didn't they notice this before? Are they sure this time? When he starts chemo, massages are very good with helping the body to rid itself of toxins and will be beneficial to him for the pain. If it is definately lung cancer you can try these herbs but as always do talk to your doctor and pharmasist about what will interfere with what. The herbs are: astragalus, ginseng (tincture 1/2 tsp (2mil) in 1/4 c water tid which means 3 times daily), cat's claw (tincture take the dose on label with 1/2 c water with 1 tsp lemon juice), cayenne ( 1 T in cooking daily), Espinheira santa, lentinan, polysaccharide kureha (psk) take 6000mg daily, psoralea take 1000mg tid and use only under professional supervision, scutellaria take 1000 - 2000mg tid, soy isoflavone concentrate take 3000mg qd which means daily, turmeric take 250mg tid. Other things you can try are: to prevent lung cancer include apples, black tea, carrots and tomatoes in your diet. Eating at least 5 servings of yellow and orange vegetables weekly reduces the likelihood of lung cancer developing in the upper lungs. Most obvious step is to stop smoking and stay away from second hand smoke. Eat parsley qd. Parsley contains myristicin which activates the detoxifying enzyme GST and reduces the formation of lung tumors. Remember to sit in the sun for 15 minutes qd for the vitamin d which if there is an adequate supply of the a vitamin retinol, induces apoptosis or cellular suicide of lung cancer cells. do not wear sunscreen since this blocks the needed UV light. And while on chemo avoid taking vitamin e for it will protect the cancer cells. A diet high in fruits and veggies is associated wtih a reduced risk of lung cancer. For now I think this is enough. I could go on and on but this should be enough for now. ----- Original Messaege ---- clothnneedle clothnneedle Saturday, March 24, 2007 8:10:15 AM persistant cough - update I had written in about a month ago asking for advice for my husband's persistant cough and received some helpful answers. He did go to the doctor was diagnosed as having bronchitis and was given an antibotic for it. The antibiotic didn't do anything to help and when he did the follow-up doctor visit, he was given a stronger antibiotic and was told it now was pnuemonia. Once again that didn't do anything and the doctor put him in the hospital 2 days ago. In the course of having X-rays and a cat scan, lung cancer has been found. A biopsy was taken to determine the type but don't have the results back yet. There is alot of talk about starting him on radiation and kemo, but so far nothing has been done. I need some help in what is out there that will truly help him and not destroy his immune system in the process. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
