Ginger Hair-Grow Scalp Treatment -

Adapted from Naturally Healthy Hair, by Mary Beth Janssen (Storey

Books, 1999).

From Annie B. Bond (care2.com) " This excellent, easy-to-make scalp

conditioning formula really gets your hair growing!

It uses ginger, considered one of the most powerful herbs in

Ayurveda. With its potent stimulating properties, ginger increases

the blood circulation to the scalp which can result in faster-growing

hair.

Warming, stimulating, and great for your scalp and hair!

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger

1 tablespoon sesame or jojoba oil

1. This formula can be applied either before or after shampooing. If

applied after, be sure to rinse extremely well.

2. Combine the ingredients, massage into the scalp, and leave on for

at least 30 minutes. (You can leave on overnight to receive the

maximum benefit.)

3. Shampoo or rinse out with tepid water. "

Got this from a friend and thought it was so neat! Enjoy!

Hi,

Suppose i can substitute Jojoba Oil for one of the following base oils,

GRAPESEED, AVOCADO, APRICOT or E-oil 30,000 IU. Jojoba oil was triple the

cost of one of these other oils. Out of these oils, which would be the

better do you think? I have lymphedema, right lower leg/foot and the skin

needs alot of attention. Could you please help me so i could make something

using one of these base oils and which essential oil would be good for the

extremely dry skin? I can now notice the dark spots on my foot,

discoloration. The skin is such a different texture all together and it i

can usually peel the skin off its so strange just the texture and all. I

have had lymphedema a year and i am now starting to pull together alittle

better now. I also have lymes disease plus other ailments which i

inherited...i am so burnt out trying to hold myself up. Thankyou for any

help and for listening.

Carol

P.S. I like using these recipes and would be nice to see some others that

are simple to make :)

Carol,

I suggest you go to a Quantum Biofeedback Therapist

and have them do a health scan, Lymes Therapy and

therapy for the Lymhedema! Everything you have said

can be treated with Quantum Biofeedback and all of the

modalities available in the device. Lyme's is a huge

epidemic that is being misdiagnosed right and left. QB

Practitioners are being trained to deal with this and

are having excellent results.

Chronic dry skin is caused by imbalance in the body.

Essential Fatty Acids, more good fats, clean colon and

blanaced diet will improve your skin.

Olive oil is cheap and works well for dry skin.

Because I live in high desert and the air is very dry,

I suffer every winter with drier skin than summer. I

use extra light virgin olive oil before I get out of

the shower. It can also be used as a conditioner for

dry hair. Massage into hair and then shampoo

out..makes for very soft hair.

Good Luck,

Jenny Kernan
