One may be helped, another " cured " and yet another get no response. The scientific studies are difficult to come by and often misleading because of methodology or materials used. Herbs that have been touted are cinnamon, fenugreek, nopal (cactus), bitter melon, gymnema, biberry root. One combination of these is sold by Nature's Way as " Blood Sugar " . The mineral chromium has also been shown to help. There are others, which I am sure others in the group will mention. By the way, a message in all caps is taken as yelling and usually not appropriate. But, then again maybe you are frustrated and yelling. He's 70 this year and as fit as a fiddle and has never used any anti-diabetic drug. His blood sugar has been within the normal range for about 7yrs now (since he was diagnosed). My mum started drinking mistletoe tea last september and her doctor is finding himself reducing the dose of her anti-hypertensives. And for the asker of this topic,i must say yoga is also effective in lowering blood sugar level.Weight loss induced by yoga is a well accepted mechanism.Many yogic postures do produce stretch on the pancreas, which is likely to stimulate the pancreatic function. And yes it is possible to correct the imbalance that created the Type II diabetes via proper nutrition and living plan.
