Are you seeing a doctor? Pre-natal care is essential to monitoring

things, especially when you're late into your pregnancy. Also making

sure you do not develop gestational diabetes.

You'll find that the nurses at a good OB/GYN can help you with your

fears. Plus, lots of literature.

Best to find magazines and books and read up on pregnancy. Most folks

get through it just fine ... first time is scary, but that's normal.

But it's good to be educated on warning signs of trouble so you can

prevent them.

I scheduled my first doctors appointment for April 4th. They said they don't

take you before you are 8 weeks along.

My daughter just had her first baby. She got the book

called " What to expect when you're expecting " if chock

full of helpful information, pictures etc. There are

also companion books called " What to expect the first

year " and so on. They are excellent books.

La Leche League has a wonderful book on breastfeeding.

La Leche League members are also a wonderful support

group.

Your OB/GYN should also have some information for you,

brochures, lists of contacts for support groups and

birthing classes.

The local YWCA may have information for you also!

Good Luck!
