Guest guest
My mother suffers from terrible constipation and has for many years, as long as I can remember, in fact. She told me tonight that she hasn't had a bowl movement in five days, and that its pretty normal for her to go a week without having a bowl movement. She says it is very uncomfortable but when she talks to doctors about it they just ignore it and focus on her other health issues (she is obese). I am convinced that the one health issue must have something to do with the other. She tries adding extra fiber to her diet, which is already mostly grains and vegetables, and she has always drank a lot of water, but none of it seems to help. I have suggested that she drink a glass of warm water with lemon every morning when she wakes up to try and help her, that she take some essential fatty acids, and I am going to get her some good green tea with senna that I drink sometimes for detox. Can you think of anything else that could help her? Thank you for your help! Jessica
