Guest guest
I know some acupuncturists that can help with high BP. You are on the right path though, my father had his high too and then went mostly vegetarian, and uses the treadmill 6 days a week and that has brought his BP to a normal place. http://www.tcmdirectory.com , " Polgara " <bettermum1959 wrote: > > I have high blood pressure and was hoping someone might be able to help > me with alternative to the drug therapy the doctors want too put me on.I > have treid two of them they both made me very sick. Do not eat salted peanuts. Men who go on BP meds develop Erectile deficiency in six months. Alternative BP treatments are Onions, Garlic, .... So eat more raw vegetables. Guest guest
I have a few more suggestions but I am unsure what has already been said but here it goes. hypertension - fancy word for high blood pressure- can be maintained by using the DASH diet which stands for Dietay Approaches to Stop Hypertension. it is a combination of high fiber, low fat foods that provides higher than normal levels of calcium, magnesium, and potassium while cutting sodium by approximately 20%. there are some herbs you can take for it but always check to make sure they don't interfear with meds. they are hawthorne leaf, berries, twigs, bungleweed, goldenseal, motherwort, lenden, coq 10, folic acid, and magnesium. ctm uses foti and shizandra in their formulas. Guest guest
Some more herbs you can take are: ginseng, coleus, american ginseng bilberry, chanca piedra dong quai, epimedium, opcs (oligomeric proanthocyandins), reishi and scutellana. some teas are green tea, bitter orange tea, and corn silk tea. as always check to make sure they do not interfere with your meds and make sure you are not allergic to any of these. Guest guest
Chocolate! Yes DARK chocolate actually decreases blood pressure and LDL cholesterol (do not eat with milk as it negates the effects.) Xocai is a company that makes several forms of chocolate that are low in fat, sweetened with Acai berries and blueberries, and minimally processed using a special cold processing technique that preserves the flavanoid content (antioxidants).
