Guest guest
My husband has been having REALLY bad leg cramps (charlie horse)lately. It happen in the past a few times a year and they were bearable but painful. Now it is more often, in both legs and he is not able to move and is in a GREAT deal of pain. It happen 4 times last night. I really want to help him as this semms to be getting worse the last few months. He is 40 years old, non smoker as of a year ago. In his job he stands in one spot most of the day on cement. He also takes karate 2 days a week. He got good shoes and a pad for where he stands. I just started him on Joint Support (I think ir might be more of a muscle issue) and he drinks the vinegar, honey and lemmon nightly. He hates doctors and we have no health plan so that is out. We are new to the group and are very open to anyone help we can get. Thanks Suan
Guest guest
Most likely he needs a magnesium supplement for healthy muscle contraction. Research foods that contain magnesium and include those in his diet also. Epsom Salts (magnesium) in a bath of warm water will help just before bedtime. soak for at least 20 minutes. He will receive magnesium through the skin this way. Peace, Thyme

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium deficit will contribute to leg cramps. Atheletes who are deficit of these minerals get bad leg cramps. Take the minerals before bed rather than in the morning. Guest guest
I have heard that cramps are lack of salt, so speak to a homeopath or nutritionist-however, i tend to get leg cramps in winter ( I'm 51) it took me years to realise that i got them at night if my feet got cold or damp during the day ( can't work tha tone out) even going out to the clothes line once the cool set in ,was enough. i don't get them any more unless i forget and get cold feet, standing on concrete won't't help and it could be bad circulation- try one of those foot massage units -if it doesn't work , he'll feel better and can even use it when he has a cramp .And of course good damp proof , fleecy slippers.! Guest guest
Magnesium is good for muscle cramps of all kinds. It's been found that most people are magnesium deficient as a result of the typical western diet full of sugar and processed foods. It's can also be helpful in some cases of arthritis which is sometimes the result of a buildup of calcium in the joints and soft tissue. This occurs because the body had a hard time with calcium absorption without the presence of an adequate amount of magnesium. If you take calcium supplements be sure to balance it with an almost equal amount of magnesium! Laurel ______________________________\ ____ 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? Guest guest
To relieve leg cramps at night while sleeping, put a bar of bath soap (any kind) between the sheets in the area of the legs. I don't know what is in the soap that stops the cramping, but it has worked everytime for me. No need to miss a message. Get email on-the-go with Mail for Mobile. Get started.
