Guest guest
I have been a patient of Acid Reflex and have been on medication virtually 27 days each month. I cut down my coffee intake from about 12 cups to 6 - 7 cups, cut my smoking and have stopped eating HOT food without much sucess. Any tips on how to get off medications will be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Oh my goodness. Due to what is going into your body at this point still and yet (6-7 cups of coffee per day, cigarets, other????), your pH is still quite off. Not to sound trite, but we are what we eat, smoke, think, say, etc. Keep up the good work insofar as eliminating acids from your diet, stressors from your life and thoughts. A nutritionist can guide you toward healthier eating habits. Good luck, my friend. Guest guest
One of the best ways to work with this issue is to take a probiotic. The natural flora can greatly improve digestion and assimilation. Also this can be reflective of a need for digestive enzymes. I have found this very helpful. You may want to try the Pro-Bio formula from Pharmanex. That is the formula I have used and have recommended to my clients. www.healthsuccess.mypharmanex.com Best to you in health, Jedidiah , " jobs_career_work " <jobs_career_work wrote: > > I have been a patient of Acid Reflex and have been on medication > virtually 27 days each month. > > I cut down my coffee intake from about 12 cups to 6 - 7 cups, cut my > smoking and have stopped eating HOT food without much sucess. > > Any tips on how to get off medications will be greatly appreciated. >
Guest guest
Is this for Acid Reflux? That seems to be a problem that is getting more common. I have heard about this from several people. My husband and I started getting it a while back, and we cut out dairy foods from our diet. By some coincidence, we also cut out most breads from our diet, including noodles. This made the problem disappear for us, and we felt healthier, lost weight, and had more energy. Also, we started finding spicy foods tastier and were able to eat them with no problem. After several months, the acid reflux disappeared, and we slowly added cappuccino and some breads back into our diet, but eating sparingly. At this time, the only recurrence we have had is when we drink cappuccino too often. Guest guest
In January, I started taking organic apple cidar vinager. I have had chronic gastritis for over 20 years, taking zantac, prevacide etc. The apple cider vinager has worked so well I have not had to take any stomach acid meds for over a month now. Guest guest
Try removing starchy, refined flours, pastas, white rices and if you have to drink coffee go to organic as it hasn't been processed nearly as much and has less acid. Hot foods won't change it...but reducing the spice will. Dairy is another thing that will create acid and mucous in addition to refined sugars and starches. Guest guest
Hello everyone. I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. I keep hearing about how great Probiotics are.... I'm not exactly sure what that is, but I was wondering if it is similar to acidophilus (spelling?). I take a liquid of that each day ( or try to) but have been hearing about the probiotics. Does this come in a liquid? Other than ordering from a MLM does anyone know of a good name brand that can be purchased at a good health food store? I would really appreciate any info on what the difference is between the Probiotics and Acidophilus... Thank you and I look forward to your responses so I can be enlightened on the difference. Guest guest
acidiphilus is usually included in most probiotics. It is a " supplement " full of healthy digestive system bacteria that help with digestion and normalizing th ebody's system. I have used Udo's brand probiotics with great success. You can also get the good bacteria in yogurt or kefir with life cultures. I used the Udo's Super 8 strain, specifically for yeast, however there are many different " blends " . There are also liquids, and some that do not need to be stored in the fridge. I purchased mine at th elocal healthfood store Best of luck.. Guest guest
Probiotics are bacteria which are needed in your intestines to boost your immune system, and prevent proteins from passing through the intestinal walls causing leaky gut. Acidophilus is one probiotic. You want several strains in the Billions. I do believe there are liquid probiotics. Check Whole Foods, The Vitamin Shoppe, etc... May I suggest you do a search on probiotics and one on leaky gut. HTH Denise > Hello everyone. > I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. Guest guest
re: probiotics, i find Dannon Activia to be very effective, and so is kefir. You can read more about probiotics on our site at www.icuhealthy.com I've had more success with the yogurts than the capsules. Perhaps this is because the bacteria pass through the stomach since they are in a calcium-rich environment. Also i give people magnesium and green foods for ph balance (raising to more alkaline). Yeasts like an acid environment, and the good bacteria like an alkaline env. in the small intestine we find. One of the companies who makes a gut products states the ph in the small intestine is acidic. I believe they make htis claim because the lacto-type bacteria turn lactose into lactic acid. However this does not mean it should be acidic. thanks matt Wherever the mind wanders, restless and diffuse in its search for satisfaction without, lead it within; train it to rest in the Self. -Bhagavad Gita 6:26 Matthew M. Guest guest
You're right! Acidophilus is a probiotic. Probiotics help restore healthy levels of good bacterial in our intestinal tracts (often killed off by antibiotics) so we can remain healthy. Natural kefir and yogurt are good sources of probiotics, as well as supplements found in the refridgerated section of your health food store (the bacteria are alive). The brand I am currently using is 'Nature's Way', but there are lots of great brands including Young Living (MLM).
