Guest guest
Well, I agree that saying breast milk is " biohazard " is a bit strong and has a certain negative connotation (that's an understatement) to it. I also have a problem with the extra charge. But -- and I'm just hitting this out there to think through, I don't have a dog in this race (I'm a grandmother and I'm so glad all this is behind me .. ;-) ), I can see where some day care centers might be concerned. Breast milk is a bodily fluid, like spit, blood, snot, etc. If a mother is sick with whatever there would be a chance at spreading the disease. Also, this might be a local/state department of health decision, out of the hands of the daycare center. I don't know, has anyone checked on state health departments?
