Guest guest
Hi all, I have been using Immrama Institute's Insight CD for my insomnia and mild depression for a couple of years now. I take a little quiet time for myself every evening and meditate with the CD after my husband gets home and can spend some time with the kids (8 and 5 y/o boys). I have been able to get rid of the anti depressants and sleeping pills... and feel much better not having to use them. So, our pediatrician recently told me my 8 year old has ADHD and wants him to take ritalin. I really don't want to start medicating my son unless it is absolutely necessary. Immrama Institute has a Focus CD for concentration and it may help with the ADHD. I'm thinking of trying it... it is supposed to be safe for children to use. My kids have seen me using my CD player almost every night. I've put the headphones on them so they can listen to what mommy is listening to... I think I could keep my son interested in listening regularly - and try to make it a good habit, you know? Have any of you used the Focus CD with your ADHD children? Did it help? Did you have any trouble keeping them interested in listening regularly? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Lori

Guest guest
I would really like to get the info re: the CD's for insomnia. I haven't had a good nights sleep in so long I forgot what it's like. I am also interested in any types of CD's that help with anxiety and weight loss... Can someone who has this info please send me the link on where this or maybe other CD's are available?? Thank you.. If this has been answered and you would rather contact me off group that is fine. I look forward to hearing from you, or anyone who has this info. Also, what is Focus and what is it used for? Is this a supplement or essential oil ....can anyone catch me up on this product or item mentioned below... thank you so much Health and Blessings Gail , " sekhar_dash " <sekhar_dash wrote: > > Hi Lori > i am also suffering insomania, so if u don't mind please send the > Immrama Institute's Insight CD on my mail sekhar_dash i > think ur help may be help full to me.at least response me about ur > thought. > > yours friend > sekhar > > > > , " Lori " <csuhumanist@> > wrote: > h > > > > Hi all, > > > > I have been using Immrama Institute's Insight CD for my insomnia > and > > mild depression for a couple of years now. Guest guest
Take magnesium with a cup of chamomile tea after an Epsom Salts bath, 1 cup per warm bath. You will sleep very well if you get into bed right after this ritual. Peace, thyme ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
www.brainsync.com has a Sound Sleep CD that is available on CD or MP3 download. It is excellent in that it works on the delta waves which you need balanced to sleep. Kelly Howell has written all the programs on this site and I highly recommend them to all my clients and use them myself. They even offer package deal discounts if your purchase 3 or more CD's. The MP3's are affordable. Stress Free Forever, Total Relaxation and Weight Loss are excellent cd's also. All of her stuff works on the brain waves and helps to strengthen or balance. Guest guest
Brainsync has some great cds. I've personally used them with good results. You can also download them for less and burn them to disc to use...a more immediate gratitifcation. medusa - " Jenny Kernan " <rainysnana Tuesday, March 27, 2007 9:04 PM Re: Re: Sleep for me... Guest guest
The Insight CD is available at the Immrama Institute website. I think it's immramainstitute.org. It is for great sleep and reduction of stress and anxiety. The Focus CD is for improving concentration and memory retention. I've tried stuff from brain sync that was mentioned in a bunch of advertisements, err... posts on this list, but it didn't do much for me. It's a shame there's no way to keep folks from commercializing the list, so we can just talk about modalities that work for us instead of weeding through the ads. Take care, Lori -- In , " gb0949 " <gb0949 wrote: > > I would really like to get the info re: the CD's for insomnia. I > haven't had a good nights sleep in so long I forgot what it's like. Lori: < It's a shame there's no way to keep folks from commercializing the list, so we can just talk about modalities that work for us instead of weeding through the ads.> Nothing has ever worked for me as well as something I ended up selling after a year of personal use. The same goes for several other people on this list. I frequently receive letters of THANKS from happy new customers. I bet the same goes for my colleagues. Andrew does a splendid job of weeding out plain ads. Remember the mess we had when he wasn't here doing the moderating? As for brain wave therapy: take a look here: http://drbate.com He calls it " neuroliminal " . It basically does what bio-feedback does for a fraction of the price. Worth looking into. Guest guest
Regarding ability to focus: I bought my wife a CD called Remembrance from the Monroe Institute, the maker of " hemi-sync " CDs. They supposedly synchronize both hemispheres of the brain for a variety of outcomes. In any case, she REALLY likes the effect the CD has on her ability to concentrate and focus. Your son may also have an issue with his subtle energy (chi) that complicates his ability to focus. This exercise from " Brain Gym " may be helpful: Cross left ankle over right. Extend arms thumbs down so knuckles are facing each other. Cross right arm over left. Clasp fingers together. Rotate arms so that hands are resting on the chest below the chin. On inhale, touch the tongue to the top of the mouth. On exhale, drop the tongue. This exercise, which I've seen in Yoga books, is used in schools and corporations, and in the field of " energy psychology. " I have clients w/ focus issues do this about once or twice a day for a minute or two and they often report significant improvement in feeling present, and being able to focus.
