The shoots on potatoes are poisonous, do not eat. If you cut a piece of

potato that has a shoot on it or an eye, you can plant them in loose dirt or

even

leaves in a large container and you will have potatoes growing. Harvest when

the leaves wilt down. It is okay to leave some in the ground for later.

Potatoes with a greenish cast are also poisonous.

Peace, thyme

Can be grown in containers.

When you plant them. Start with seed potatoes for best crop.

Just cover with couple of inches of soil.

Then as they grow keep putting more soil on top.

Soon you'll have lots of potatoes.

They will turn green & toxic if the potato is exposed to the sun so

keep covered with dirt till harvest.
