Guest guest
Good morning all. I have a question. Does anyone know of non-medicinal ways to get rid of acne blemishes on the face? I want to use both topical ways and dietary ways to do this. I am a vegetarian slowly trying to go to being a vegan. Lately I've been having some pimples on my face and when they go away, they leave the dark spots. I put tea tree oil on my pimples straight to get the swelling down. It doesn't seem to bother it or irritate it. I use Desert Essence facial wash, witch hazel as a toner and Aveeno face lotion (don't remember which kind it is) and shea butter to moisturize my face. Guest guest
Using a dampened asprin over the blemish will help to dry it up and go away. Place it on the blemish. Make sure your Witch Hazel doesn't have alcohol in it...some do and alcohol dries the skin so the pores become blocked. Remember aspirin is derived from White Willow Bark and is as close to natural as you can get with over-the counter medications.IMO Jenny Kernan --- dontae980 <dontae980 wrote: > > Good morning all. Guest guest
Good day Try adding some B-Vitamins and some Fish Oil. Rahses that leave a dark spot can be indicative of a skin disorder " Pellagra. *Pellagra is a skin disease caused by a Lack of a B-Vit. *Niacin. Niacin can be bought in any store. Guest guest
I'd use the witch hazel and tea tree oil you're already using. Those would probably be my first choices. What else... Get a good loofah sponge and apply it liberally when you bathe. Not so much so that you wear off more skin and leave scabs, but liberal use with a good glycerine soap might help. Increase your garlic intake. Garlic is a good natural antibiotic. Part of the reason you are developing acne might be due to an increase in bacteria on your skin. I think someone has already mentioned a good colon, kidney and liver flush. Increasing your water intake is another way...depending on who you talk to, they say that you should drink one half your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 160 lbs US, that would be 80 ounces. Some say three liters a day is a good amount, so it depends who you talk to. Spending more time in the sun is a good way to help with the oil issues on the skin. Sweating not only releases oil from the pores, but also helps flush what toxins you might have in your system. And how much sleep do you get? Do you get a regular and sound amount of sleep every night, or do you stay up unable to sleep for one reason or another? One other thing to consider would be meditation. Decrease the amount of stress in your life, and you decrease the acne. It works, trust me. Tried and true. 30 minutes a day or more if you can reasonably manage it, and you should start seeing results within a few weeks. Hope this helps. Guest guest
You know, I used to have bad acne problems, but when I stopped using acne products it all cleared up. Another thing that helped was putting a water filter on my shower. I got these ideas from a book I read called The Truth About Beauty. Can't think of the author's name now, think its Kat something, but its a real good read. You should look into it. Jessica dontae980 <dontae980 wrote: Good morning all. I have a question.
