Guest guest
If anyone on here uses h202 in their hot tub can you tell me if it also takes care of most hard water deposits? Our hot tub has an ionizer and an ozone filter and my skin is extremely sensative so I need none to very little chemical use. Not to mention I don't want to use the toxic stuff if I don't have to. But i'm not exactly sure if h202 helps with hard water. Any experience? Thanks to you all, Marci

Guest guest
We are using it in our hot tub and it's been better than chlorine or bromine on our skin but I can't say that it takes care of the deposits. Sometimes when we get in the tub you can actually see scale laying on the seats and scoop it out. Now, I am not sure if this was in the system from the old chemicals and the h2o2 cut it loose or not. We have had a cold snap here so we haven't been in the tub for several weeks now but I peeked in to check the water level the other day and it's still crystal clear. Guest guest
You might look on the web for uses of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). I have a client who uses it extensively, including in their hot tub, and swears by it. They buy it in concentrated form on the web and CAREFULLY dilute it for their various uses. They did mention that, unlike bleach, it cleans but does not removed stains from their clothes, so it may take a while to get used to it. -- In wellness, Toni D. Guest guest
Oh I am one that uses it extensively which is why I wanted to also use it for the hot tub. And I might say that I use it instead of bleach and it very much does whiten my clothes-better than bleach I might add. I fill the bleach dispenser with it and it's amazing. I use it for cleaning, washing fruit, sometimes even to freshen my underarms. I use straight 35% food grade in the hot tub and laundry and diluted everywhere else. I just wasn't sure if it got rid of the scaling stuff in the hard water. I have spoke to a hot tub company that said with the ozone generator and the silver filter that the build up should not be a problem so I guess we'll see and hope for the best.
