I am seeking advice on rebuilding the mind after years of cannabis use.

How may I holistically nourish the brain for improvement in memory and

cell regeneration? Please, any advice is welcomed...

Proper nutrition and brain excersizes such as the

brain massage cd by Kelly Howell can help. Quantum

Biofeedback therapy also works.

Hi There,

Have a look at this website http://www.jostsauer.com/ I have read his

book " Higher & Higher - from Drugs and Destruction to Health &

Happiness " he is a teacher in TCM amongst other things. Best of all

he has been there and done that - he understands what you may go

through.

Hope this helps.

Don't over look the traditional ways to strengthen your brain. Reading, mind

puzzles, studying, that sort of thing. Reading educational and classical

literature does the most as far as reading, as does reading news. Listening to

music with a lot of bass has been shown in studies to actually kill cells, but

listening to classical music or soft folk music is shown to help them flourish.

One study I remember in particular plants were played music for an hour a day,

the plants that were played rap died, the plants that were played classical grew

far more than any of the others, including the control that was played nothing.

All other care of the plants was exactly the same.

Listening to rap, or other music with a lot of bass, wont kill you, mind you,

but try to expand your horizons a little and listen to other types of music as

well. A little bit of classical a day could do wonders for you.

Just try to branch out. Learn about as much different material as you can,

its just like lifting weights for your brain.

Good luck!

I agree with Jessika that the brain needs the right environment to thrive.

Music and sounds that overstimulate the body can also stress it. There was

a story of a group of nuns in the Upper Midwest. These women were in their

seventies and eighties and thriving far beyond their years. They were

alert, active, and vibrant, more like younger women. They practiced a

healthy lifestyle, as you might expect, but the interesting thing to those

who studied was that they were always striving to learn something new. Your

brain grows while it's learning.

You might also look into a detox, one that is gradual and safe. Cleansing

your body will likely also cleanse your brain. You probably know others who

have moved away from canabis. Perhaps through networking you will find some

of the solutions you seek.

Simplistic, but adaptations are very helpful. Keeping very organized

lists (carry a small spiral pad) routine dates (pay your bills on the

1st and the 15th) anything that can be routinized. This reduces tax on

the damaged memory, allows certain decisions to be mechanized, and

allows functioning brain cells to deal with new information. This is

not at all scientific, just practical.

As we grow older and older the brain cells get defunct either due to use or

abuse or non-use. Do you remember your rhymes? first teacher? first love? first

blow on your career ? first elevation to a higher position? Well some yes some

no.It is all a matter of frequent neural connections and keeping the blood flow

active.

Don't you worry too much.Start learning Yoga from a knowledgeable Guru !

You will have reasons to remember me for this Note.

Happy excersing your brain vessels and nerves.

Yes, I tend to agree with the suggestion that classical, instrumental music is

far more enlivening than quick, loud and temperamentally exotic others.

The impact on the plants is interesting ; any studies on animals and human minds

please ! Dr Vridhdha Subbu1935

May I raise a more fundamental question for discussion at this point in time ?

What is Mind ? What are its constituents and what are its properties?

Here is a better way to rebuild your mind and it won't cost you anything.

Challange yourself to think in different ways.

The person who has doubts and misgivings stands condemned to failure before he

begins as he does not act from faith. The act of faith is a process of casting

something greater than yourself down before you and stepping upon it. This

something is the guarantee of the abundancy of God and perfection from which you

were conceived and created. The aspects of God and the religious formats and

conceived thoughts and perceptions of God were implants within our DNA and

memories to give us a basic societal structure.

As individuals who come from various regional areas, our belief systems have

been modified and adapted to serve us and maintain us within the context of our

evolutionary process. As we evolve and our minds expand, so do our concepts of

self and dimensionality. We push further and explore new possibilities for our

existence and evolution.

The process of creationism speaks to God's miraculous intervention to explain

the origin of the universe, of life and of the different kinds of plants and

animals on earth and within the universe. But then again we ask " Who and what is

God? " When we speak of God we speak in terms of attributes. For instance, God is

infinitude, immutability, eternity, goodness, knowledge (omniscience) and power

(omnipotence). We ascribe to God certain human traits and characteristics; God

is compassionate, forgiving and understanding and tempers wrath and anger with

forgiveness. We also assign dominant male qualities to our conception of that

which is not conceivable by referring to God as 'he'. As Karl Marx said,

religion is the poor man's opiate. God offers hope and salvation where there

would be desolation and failure.
