Guest guest
There is SO MUCH out there. Anyone familiar with tools for wellness. They have a few great items, but do not know about their sleep products. I know excercize and other life activities are important. Thanks in advance I wish could afford a weekly massage cause that works wonders with sleep.
Guest guest
Hey, just today I accidentally discovered a cool massage trick you might like. It only works for feet (unless your creativity can stretch it further), but its worth a try. I was unpacking some boxes after moving and found a tennis ball in one of the boxes. I left it on the floor for a while for my cat to play with, and later I made some tea and walked back into the living room next to the ball. Something possessed me to step on it and roll it around under my bare foot. It felt just like a foot massage! I kept doing it for a long time and then did my other foot. It was really nice. Its the little things, you know? Chamomile tea helps for sleep too, I know that ones obvious, but just in case. Also, I try to stretch before bed. It makes sleeping more comfortable and increases circulation so you don't get as sore while you're lying still all night. Its not so bad to do some quick stretches in the morning too, to get that blood flowing again when you wake up. Sleep tight! Jessica Mary <risingregalus escribió: There is SO MUCH out there. Guest guest
HA HA HA! I use that one for my massage and Qigong clients ALL THE TIME! It works even better for pain relief and relief of stiff soreness when you toss that tennis ball in the freezer for a period of time. Get the tennis ball wet, but not soakingly so, and put it in the freezer for an hour or two before you plan on using it. Cold is a natural pain killer. Pressure is also a natural pain blocker. When you combine them, you have a wonderful pain reduction program in place which doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. By the way, Jessica... It can also be used on your shoulders, back, or the buttocks and legs with REALLY good results. The hands, too. You can roll it between your hands and a table, or the floor, with similar results as with the feet. If you don't mind lying on your floor, take the gently frozen tennis ball and place it under the part of the body you would like to treat. The pressure exerted by the weight of your body is often enough to " rub out " some of the pain. If not, and you feel so inclined, you can move your body around to roll the ball under it somewhat. You will have to experiment with that one and see what works for you. It's a little different for everyone. Thank you for mentioning the " tennis ball trick. " It's good to see that someone is out there and experimenting to see what works. Guest guest
I was just checking for some additional help with sleep myself. I already take L-Tryptophan for my SAD which produces more Melatonin, which does help with sleep. But now I'm faced with a need to go to sleep early, because I just started a P/T Job which will require me to get UP at 1:00 A.M. I'm about to Order another Product called Good Night Rx, which specifically does help with sleep. The Link to get it, and to read about it is at: http://physicianformulas.com/store/Scripts/prodview.asp?idproduct=274 & na\ me=Good-Night-Rx <http://physicianformulas.com/store/Scripts/prodview.asp?idproduct=274 & n\ ame=Good-Night-Rx> Maybe that will work for both of us. I got the L-Tryptophan at the same place, and they seem to be great so far! They're called " Physician's Formulas " . I hope that helps you! Guest guest
For sleep, I use the CDs that have Alpha wave patterns embedded in some light music. Works great, doesn't run out, one time cost! Although I do have several 'cause I loan them out to people when they complain they have trouble sleeping. Guest guest
My NCOIC is taking strait melatonin and raves about it, except he says it makes it harder for him to get up early to do PT. I think he doesn't go to bed early enough though. Steve <AsburySteve1952 escribió: I was just checking for some additional help with sleep myself. Guest guest
No, thank you for the ideas, Dawn! I would love to get that feeling I got on my feet on the rest of my body. Freezing it is another great idea! It could help cut time on treating my shoulder which I was instructed by my physical therapist to ice twice a day and massage lightly. Guest guest
Teh Physicans Sleep Formula is very good according to the ingredients. (I like the way they add only a small amount of Melatonin. *Melatonin is a sleep hormone found in food and supplements. *Serotonin is produced by Light; and Melatonin by Dark. This is why a dark cool room is always best for sleeping. Thanks. A.-- - In , " Steve " <AsburySteve1952 wrote: > > I was just checking for some additional help with sleep myself. Guest guest
NCOIC??? Boy...there's a phrase I haven't heard for a while. Where are you, Jessika, and what do you do, if I may ask? Just a vet's curiosity. Best Wishes, Dawn , Jessika Stone <remindersofthen wrote: > > My NCOIC is taking strait melatonin and raves about it, except he says it makes it harder for him to get up early to do PT.
