Guest guest
Recently, my energy levels have been going down. I fall asleep while my dad and I are watching tv almost every night. I am taking, a multivitamin, and vitamin E every day, but I still fall get tired when I shouldn't. I am starting to take green tea capsules everyday, instead of every other day. Other than this, what can I do to increase my energy?

Guest guest
I've had pretty good results taking a vitamin B 12 supplement. Its a liquid supplement, but I hear a fast dissolving one is good as well. I'm working full time, going to school full time, doing physical therapy and have a vigorous workout routine, in addition to volunteering for my church and pursuing some hobbies. Since I started with all this school and work I've just been a zombie. Adding B 12 has almost brought me back to normal. Almost. It will be worth it when I have my bachelors though. Good luck! Guest guest
Sounds like a poor sleep problem to me...not getting adequate or restful sleep. Try some relaxation techniques prior to going to bed. Flip the mattress over every 6 months, change pillows frequently etc A bath with Lavender is also helpful in creating a restful sleep. 30 minutes of meditation or relaxation everyday. Guest guest
I think someone has already mentioned this, but make sure you get between thirty minutes and one hour of good exercise a day. Aerobic exercise being ideal. Exercise earlier in the day, but not within three to four hours of going to bed if you can help it. The exercise does tend to get the adrenaline going and if you attempt to exercise too close to bedtime, the whole purpose will simply backfire upon itself. You're trying to slow yourself down, not rev yourself up. Make sure, too, that you are getting enough sunlight during the waking hours. That has a HUGE part in all this. Make sure to try and get around one hour or so a day, thirty minutes at the least if at all possible. Open the blinds or curtains if you must be indoors...sunlight is basically sunlight. And perhaps you need to take a good look at when you are waking up in the AM and going to bed at night. If you can, try getting up a little earlier in the morning. If you get up at 6:00, try getting up at 5:30. See what happens. You may find that you are more tired in the evenings. And if you are tired, go to sleep. There is a reason why your body is trying to get you to rest...the one problem I can see with this is if you may have a job which keeps you up nights... Then I would say invest in a REALLY good shading screen for your bedroom window. If you have to sleep during the day, you want it to be as dark as possible. Try the lavendar soak that was mentioned...it has worked wonders for me. All best.
