Guest guest
Dear Sherry, Very well done on getting into this, everyone has to start and I’m glad you’ve made yours. I’m happy for you. “Snuff” is defined as: “a medicinal powder to be inhaled through the nose.” “Herbal Snuff” is a powdered blend of herbs that are inhaled through the nose for medicinal purposes. Where to be obtained: Dr. Ian Shillington has an informational Website called: www.academyofnaturalhealing.com where there is some contact information at the top of the page. I tell this to everyone as this is an informational site though you can get a hold of him through this and he can direct you to the best snuff in town. Everything you need medicinally that is herbal and helpful that I have come across I have called and found e has. So if there’s anything else you have questions about he or one of his Supervisors / Tutors can answer those as well. Sincerely, Zeb P.S. Your very welcome to my time. herbal remedies [herbal remedies ] On Behalf Of Sherry Thursday, April 28, 2005 8:31 AM To: herbal remedies RE: Herbal Remedies - ear candles Zeb, Thank you for your advice, I had considered the ear candles, and then did a search on the web for them and found alot of scarry things about them, I am new to all of this, so it is hard to figure out right from wrong. I trust your opinion though. Someone else ask if I was on any medication, None. The only thing I am doing is an herbal cleanse.I will look into every thing you have suggested. Where do I purchase the herbal snuff? What do I do, chew it? I do know that I fight candida, which has gotten better with the cleanse.I do notice from time to time I will have a day where my eyes will water out of the corner too. Dairy products and I don't usually get along too well, so I pretty much stay away from them.... Can I get all of these products in one place? Thank you for your time, Sherry Sherry, Yes. First there is something called “Herbal Snuff”. This product cleans out the central area where your ear, nose and eyes balance pressure. The herbal snuff will kill any bacteria, infection, mold, or whatever else is in there doing harm and will, heal and cleanse all connected areas to a greater or lesser degree. So I would suggest, using the herbal snuff made by Dr. Shillington, using his ear formula, and Draining the ear using the candles. I’d suggest using 2 candles each week until your ear feels like it has drained (you will be able to feel it, almost like a loss of weight and pressure from buildup). These 3 things will 1: eliminate buildup by draining, 2: cleanse out any additional buildup and any infections & 3: Start the healing process necessary to put things back in order for your ears nose and eyes. There is also something for the eyes called “Eyebright” which helps to drain any block-ups in the tear ducts and the eye itself. Does this help? Zeb p.s. I have found that taking my dairy intake down to about 10% of what I used to eat helped clear out the nose and eye goop that builds up. I have also noticed that my ears don’t get blocked up so quickly either. When I completely eliminated Dairy I had so little mucous that only when I needed it did my body produce it i.e. in dusty rooms etc. I have a question, I have been having problems with ringing in my ears for a while now, do you think this would help? I also have lost most of my sense of smell also. Any suggestions? Thanks, Sherry Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
I replied to a other group about ear candles. I used to make them for my family and friends. Take a candle and burn it by itself when it gets almost to the bottom about 3.5 inches, cut the candle and you will find a amber color inside the candle. That is the wax from inside the candle. When you make the candle you have to dip the cloth in a wax bath then wrap it around a dowel. The only way a candle can have any strenght is if both sides of the cloth contains wax. Now when you have the candle heated the wax is going to change forms but before the fire gets to the wax you a mild heat causing the wax to melt. That's where you get the amber color inside the candle without putting it in a person's ear. That's why when using the candle it is so important not to burn the candle past the 3.5 inches from the bottom so you don't have any hot wax falling inside the ear damaging the tissue. That's where the FDA has gotten its bark from. There has been people in the past proven the damage from the wax. In my opion two things happen, one they burned the candle too low or two the width of the bottom of the candle was too wide(a lot of people cut the bottom so they can get more smoke out of it, that is dangerous). But the candle when used correctly like herbs can become a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, medicine. The heat from the candle stimulates three pressure points in the ear. Making the flow of fluid more constant. It releaves pressure and the heat smoke acts as a bacteria killer. The candles are so simple to make and only cost penny's on the dollar to make. It cost me around thirty cents to make one but that was with herbs combined and a higher grade cloth. If you want to know how to make them just ask I direct you to some websites. And tell you how I done them also, I found a easier way. Hope this helps and I'll be more than happy to share the info with you too. Guest guest
Hi Corrine; I found your email on ear candles very interesting. I have never made my own and would really appreciate any information you have for doing that. I buy ear candles at a local shop for about $12 a pair so your way sounds more economical and with added herbs , much healthier. I do have a question. The last time I used ear candles , for weeks afterwards my ears were so itchy . Do you know what I did wrong and what I can do to prevent this from happening again? BTW, we share the same name 'McKee' . Its a very rare name where I live ... Guest guest
I started that topic that you are referring to and I have to agree with you. I did the ear candles for the first time and I had a smaller amount to come from my right ear while my left ear had a lot of gunk. I even took pictures to send to my sister. After having problems with them since childhood, I felt it couldn't hurt to try something different and I am so glad I did. I don't have any of the problems anymore like earaches, occassional pain & tickling and roaring and ringing. I don't care about where the gunk comes from I just know that it worked for me. herbal remedies , " mckdlee " <mckeefamily@b...> wrote: Some people have much more " stuff " than others as well. > Debbie in tX

Guest guest
In asnswer to the ear candle question. They are made using muslin cloth cut into 1/2 " wide strips. Melt parafin wax mixed with beeswax (beeswax alone is too soft and will drip in the ear if you aren't careful). Lay the muslin strip in the wax. You will need a 3/4 " dowel rod about 18 " in length. Lightly coat the rod with sunflower oil. Wrap the muslin strip around the dowel starting at the tip and overlapping while wrapping it up to the end of the rod. Wait until the strip has hardened before twisting it off the rod. There is a company out there that sells a kit and an instructional DVD. Type in " Ear Candles " on your web browser and see what coes up. If you have any other questions let me know! Juli
