Guest guest
I've never made my own. I worry too much about getting too much wax on the muslin and having it drip into the ear canal. I just buy beeswax (usually) from my local health store. Sometimes you can find soy wax but mostly just beeswax. They area right there with the paraffin ones. Wally's is a national brand and they carry the beeswax, but there are others that I don't know the brand (they are usually in a large tube loose). The material on them is cut with pinking shears on the edges and they are my favorite! They just seem to burn better. Angela Message: 24 Sun, 4 Jul 2004 23:32:24 -0600 " Alison Maynes " <rlmaynes Ear Candling So... If one was to make their own candles, they would use beeswax or ?? Does anyone know of a good source to purchase these? We have some molds and have been trying to get the hang of making them so they come off the molds w/o breaking. Any suggestions? Guest guest
Hi Alison I found some at the local health food store. After I bought them I read the post about the 11 toxins in paraffin. Wallys www.wallysnatural.com offers plain paraffin, lavender paraffin, herbal paraffin (the ones I bought), 100% beeswax, and herbal 100% beeswax. I am going to call the store and see if they have the herbal 100% beeswax and see if I can exchange the ones that I bought. BTW they come in packs of two at about $5 and change. The labels however remarks that you need anywhere from 2-4 candles per ear and that you should do it 3-6 times a year. This has also got me thinking about my frequent use of candles for lighting as well. How much toxic air have I been breathing in? I have many phyto friends around and I suspect they are heavy breathers (because they almost drink as much water as me) so they may have helped clean the air. Wally's is a. national brand and they carry the beeswax, but there are others that I don'tknow the brand Angela

Guest guest
I used to "candle" my son's ears when he asked. And it always made a difference. Of course, one needs to think *why* do they get a lot of wax in their ears. It usually is a symptom of allergies. herbal remedies [herbal remedies ] On Behalf Of Dawn HuntFriday, April 22, 2005 3:08 AMherbal remedies Subject: Re: Herbal Remedies - ear candles They really work. Guest guest
Hello all! While in Massage Therapy College our spa class experimented with ear candles. Each student's candle had different amounts substance, and the only two students that have formally been diagnosed with Candida (myself included) had large amounts of white powder with the wax. YUUUUCK!!! I also noticed that I felt better. ( Maybe it helps dry fluids trapped in ear?). I feel that Ear Candleing works the same way Cupping works. Guest guest
Dear Ear Candle wonderers, The ear candle does not pull out wax which is a common misunderstanding as well as a common assumption. The ear candles purpose is to create a vacuum which allows the ears to drain on their own. For those who have used them you will notice that after you've candled the ear wax flows much more smoothly or is easier to clean out with a Q-tip afterwards. The heat and vacuum break up the clogged wax but do not take it out. Your body does the draining itself. Simply check google or some other web browser and you will find all sorts of things about ear candles. I myself experience free drainage after using 2 candles per ear. If I do it recently after that I experience drainage after one ear candle per ear. I use about 2-4 ear candles a year just for giggles and because I know they dislodge stopped up wax. Guest guest
Hello, ear candles are so simple to make. The only benifit that I know of from them is the pressure points in the ear. I believe there is three that it gets too. That amber color when you open the candle after using is the melted wax coming from the top of the candles down. But I am a believer in them as long as there used correctly. If not there could be some serious damage coming from the hot wax in the internal ear. Got any questions just ask, like I said I made them in the past for my family and friends. Guest guest
Dear Glenda, That’s what healing internally feels like to me. Whenever mine drain I wiggle them with my fingers and get so much relief its quite comical. I try to be very careful with q-tips as they can hurt during that very sensitive period of time. The itching as far as I’ve experienced is simply the draining process. I remember day after day for an entire week of constant drainage. This was just after my second and most thorough Total Body Cleanse. That ear just went nuts and I have dark yellow stuff coming outta my ears every morning and evening, especially when I was in a warm space. Suggestions: Do another one the next day and so on until it stops. Do you have any suggestions for itchy ears after ear candling? This always happens to me Glenda - Zeb herbal remedies Friday, April 22, 2005 2:27 PM RE: Herbal Remedies - ear candles Dear Ear Candle wonderers, The ear candle does not pull out wax which is a common misunderstanding as well as a common assumption. Remember what Doc says about Stoppage!!! My question is this.......do they really work or have I just been fooled this whole time? Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
All the ear candles does the same. It's the wax from inside the candles that travels down. Thats why it is so imporant to have the bottom of the candle small. People from all over(Mexico, USA) have been doing this for centuries. It's just been a few scattered cases that the FDA got it's opportunity to regulate it. Yes the candles work and works very well. Just not the way most people think. It calms the glands with the smoke-heat, also at the same time hits three of the pressure points. Letting the ear drain, releasing the sinus and killing bacteria at the same time. If you want to make them just ask. They can be made for about 10 to 20 cents each. That's including herbal oils. There is a website that has step by step directions, and I have the few steps of my own that make it even easier after you get everything ready. Personally I use colloidal silver and food grade H202 now for our ears, none of us have had problems in along time. Hope this helps, Corrine

I don't mean to sound like a broken-record, but tinnitus " ringing in the ears " is a very common " side-effect " of many chemical pharmaceuticals. Both prescription drugs and OTC's (including aspirin). Alteration of, distortion of, diminishing, and/or loss of smell/tase and/or various sinus symptoms, are common side-effects of many drugs too. So, that would be the very first place I would look (if you take any drugs at all) Request Product Information Sheets on any drug (s) you take to see if either or both symptoms are listed as " known " . Chemical fumes can also cause diminished and/or loss of smell/taste and/or create continuing sinus " problems " . Not just industrial type fumes like paints/disinfectants/building materials, but synthetic fragrances (which are found in everything) can as well. If you haven't already, try eliminating everything with chemical scents in your hh cleaners, laundry aids, and personal care products (soaps/shampoos/deodorants/cosmetics) to see if it makes a difference. Try using eco-friendly chem-free products that if scented, only use essential oils. I lost my sense of smell for several years, and after eliminating the meds and the chemical scents in everything, my constant sinus problems finally cleared up, and my sense of smell returned, even more acute than before I lost it. I do know of a couple of people that found their tinnitus (ear ringing) was attributable to the artificial sweetener Aspartame... (also known as Nutrasweet/Equal etc.) I believe this is one of the more common symptoms reported to the FDA on this chemical sweetener, which is used in LOTS of non-organic foodstuffs. Read ingredient labels on foods/skin-hair care/cleaners & laundry products, (if you don't already do so), to avoid some of these possible causes. Hope this helps... Guest guest
Sherry, Yes. First there is something called “Herbal Snuff”. This product cleans out the central area where your ear, nose and eyes balance pressure. The herbal snuff will kill any bacteria, infection, mold, or whatever else is in there doing harm and will, heal and cleanse all connected areas to a greater or lesser degree. So I would suggest, using the herbal snuff made by Dr. Shillington, using his ear formula, and Draining the ear using the candles. I’d suggest using 2 candles each week until your ear feels like it has drained (you will be able to feel it, almost like a loss of weight and pressure from buildup). These 3 things will 1: eliminate buildup by draining, 2: cleanse out any additional buildup and any infections & 3: Start the healing process necessary to put things back in order for your ears nose and eyes. There is also something for the eyes called “Eyebright” which helps to drain any block-ups in the tear ducts and the eye itself. Does this help? Zeb p.s. I have found that taking my dairy intake down to about 10% of what I used to eat helped clear out the nose and eye goop that builds up. I have also noticed that my ears don’t get blocked up so quickly either. When I completely eliminated Dairy I had so little mucous that only when I needed it did my body produce it i.e. in dusty rooms etc. herbal remedies [herbal remedies ] On Behalf Of Sherry Monday, April 25, 2005 11:18 PM herbal remedies RE: Herbal Remedies - ear candles I have a question, I have been having problems with ringing in my ears for a while now, do you think this would help? Guest guest
Thankyou so much for sending me this website. I am going to send some time there later this evening when I have a chance to relax and not be disturbed. Glenda - am happy herbal remedies Wednesday, April 27, 2005 5:55 PM Herbal Remedies - ear candles I'm sending a web page that should cover all thebasics, just copy and paste. And after reading theentire page my little secret is instead of using awooden dowel use a metal dowel. You'll have to eithergrind and sand it yourself or take it to a metal shop.Either way it should only be a few dollars to getdone. Also having two done at the same time speeds upthe process. The reason I prefer the metal it almosttakes no pressure to take off the candle from thedowel. But the wood is a totally different story, youmay have success that way, but the wax did not want tobond as hard on the metal. The wooden dowel, with theamount of pressure it took to get the candles off, ending up destroying most of the candles, not truewith the metal dowel.Get a couple of drops of herbal oil like Eucalyptusand put in the melting wax to give it that extra kick. And for the Colloidal Silver I advise make ityourself. A heck of a lot CHEAPER. Buy your wires onebay and your ppm tester there too. After you've madethe solution add too the colloidal(one pint) a coupleof drops of food grade H2O2(about four to eight drops@ 35%proof) after doing so make sure you keep it outof the sun and all lights. You'll have some powerfulstuff, we have even used it on boils with extremesuccess. Hope this helps got any more questions I'd be happyto help. Just make sure you read up on all the abovefor yourself before doing. Guest guest
Zeb, Thank you for your advice, I had considered the ear candles, and then did a search on the web for them and found alot of scarry things about them, I am new to all of this, so it is hard to figure out right from wrong. I trust your opinion though. Someone else ask if I was on any medication, None. The only thing I am doing is an herbal cleanse.I will look into every thing you have suggested. Where do I purchase the herbal snuff? What do I do, chew it? I do know that I fight candida, which has gotten better with the cleanse.I do notice from time to time I will have a day where my eyes will water out of the corner too. Dairy products and I don't usually get along too well, so I pretty much stay away from them.... Can I get all of these products in one place? Thank you for your time, Sherry Sherry, Yes.
