Guest guest
To everyone in this group I know this is not a regular " health issue, " but I have a question. My son bought a house and the young man that lived there tried to clean the carpet in the bedroom that he had. He used only water...Of course it did not come clean.. We just found out that the machine he used saturated the carpet, but it did not SUCTION it out. That part of the machine was not working. So the carpet was soaked. He just let it dry. Here is my question. My concern is since he did NOT extract the water from the carpet and pad, that there is a possibility that mold or mildew is in the pad or carpeting itself. Does anyone know of a NATURAL way to reclean the carpet with a properly working steam cleaner that will inject a " Natural " solution into the carpet killing the mold and mildew (if any) and then extract the water the correct way? Has anyone used a COMPETELY NATURAL product whether essential oils or cleaning products that have NO chemicals in it that will clean as well as kill bacteria, mold, and mildew... or any other types of icky stuff we don't even know about sometimes...?? I am open to suggestions, especially those used by people that have actually seen the results and know it works..... Please feel free to write me off group if since this is not " technically " a health issue, although it could turn into one if someone uses that bedroom and is sleeping in a room with mold and mildew buried in the carpeting. I would appreciate any and all input. Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from many of you and hope that there is someone within this group that has had to deal with a mold or mildew issue in their home and has sucessfully killed the spores that cause people to get sick... Thank you in advance for all your help Health and Blessings Gail
Guest guest
Once the carpet and pad are mildewed the carpet and pad are contaminated and must be removed. There isn't anything you can use once it has dried. He can use enzymes on the flooring and then seal the floor under the pad however.
