Guest guest
Hi Ms Mak, Dong Quai is a phytoestrogen. In relation to premenopause... During premenopause, our cycles become anovulatory. Without an egg being released from the ovary, we don't produce progesterone for that cycle. The effects build up: low progesterone, normal estrogen. We are no longer balanced. This is when estrogen dominance begins to rear it's ugly head. Phytoestrogens stimulate our own estrogen. If we are already estrogen dominant, we don't want to use something that will continually stimulate our estrogen. We still have low progesterone, but now we are making our estrogenic load even greater. Also, if there is any history of female cancers (breast, uterine, ovarian, etc), great caution should be used with estrogens in any form. Female cancers are commonly fed by estrogen (not necessarily caused by estrogen), so adding phytoestrogens can make them worse. Phytoestrogens can also make Prostate cancer worse, as these cells are affected by estrogen, too. -- Shana Clagg Discover A Healthier You! http://health.A_Healthier_You The " Safest Products in the World " : http://www.ineways.com/shana
