Guest guest
Hi. I know this isn't directly about health--but it is--so I wanted to let everyone know about an upcoming gardening seminar that's BETTER than organic!! I spoke at length to the man putting on the seminar and he's simply fascinating and has a VAST amount of knowledge about growing edibles. He had his first garden at four years old. :-) Because I know that most everyone on this list is interested in healthy foods, I think you should look into this workshop if you are close enough to go. Even though the flyer sounds like it's more for farmers or commercial producers, it's not (that's why I called him--I'm no commercial producer or farmer). It's also for the home gardener, even if you only have a few patio pots, he said. This method is way beyond organic and composting. It's a revolutionary new way of not only getting better yields but keeping your plants Super healthy. He's going to teach us how to do this at home, inexpensively. He's even having a wine and food tasting on Friday night (put on by a California wine maker) to teach us what real food should taste like--what to look for and how to enhance flavor. His name is Greg Willis and he's discovered the cure for all plant disease! He says we will learn how to effect the cures ourselves, there will be a hands-on session where we will work a sprayer and, most important--learn how to make the sprays ourselves AND how to detox our land! I am so excited about going to this workshop. For over 20 years I have been reading and studying organic gardening and various methods of getting more food from a little space and this is unlike anything I have ever read about. Guess you can tell I'm pretty psyched! Lol Sorry, but Greg and I talked for over an hour and I learned so much in just that conversation that I can't imagine what all I'll learn at the workshop. If you get a chance to go, please tell him you heard it from me--Renee Votta and please pass this to any list or person that you think would be interested. This is the first time this workshop has ever been put on and he needs all the publicity he can get. I'm doing this because I think everyone interested in healthy eating and healthy growing should know that this information is available. It's not in any book, as it's not been written down--yet. :-) I've just met him and I'm already trying to encourage him to write about it, plus he's trying to get someone to tape the workshop so it can be put on dvds. I hope he gets enough attendees that he can afford to do this. You can read about the workshop here (if the link doesn't work just cut and paste it into your browser) http://www.wholisticagriculture.com/ It's coming up March 9, 10, and 11th, up by Dallas, Texas. The ticket price goes up after Feb. 15th so go take a look at the website and flyer now. I just found out about this conference today, so I know there's not a lot of time before the price goes up. But I've already made up my mind to go--hope you can too. I'd like to see this just take off!! Samala Renee
