Guest guest
I used to have a bulging tummy. But now it's quite flat. And I have maintained that for 7 years now. 1. Drink more water 2. Eat more fibre and less calories, take a few small meals a day 3. Exercise overall to reduce body fat and gain a bit of muscle 4. perform abdominal exercises Basic, simple crunches. I started off slowly with 20-50 crunches a day. And now I do 200 crunches a day. Every morning before you bathe or eat anything, do crunches. Start off with 10 in the morning and 10 in the evening (before having dinner). It hurts initially. But as you get comfortable with 20 a day, push yourself to do 30 or 40 a day and gradually increase. Trust me. It works! http://99health.blogspot.com/ , Abdullahi AbdurRahman <draadewu wrote: > > High every body > > Recently my tummy has been getting fatter, not so bad, but I don't like it. any help? > > Thanks >
Guest guest
As we age past 30 our body decreases its natural production of HGH ( Human Growth Hormone ), thus we start to lose elasticity in our skin, we start to get spare tires around the middle, our hair gets thinner etc. By the time we are in our 60's the pituitary gland isn't producing HGH anymore. Also severe stress will increase the production of cortisol and that also increases belly fat. Both items can be corrected on via the SCIO and supplements. Unicity products are on the Matrix and Unicity has a natural HGH replacement called Enjuvenate that really does work. Guest guest
A group of men were asking this same question at a conference on nutrition. Most men have this problem after 40-50 years of age. The answer that we got was to take Flax Seed Oil daily. Six months later our stomachs all looked better. Exercise and diet help too. Guest guest
When I started the south beach diet, I lost belly fat first. It's the first plan that I was on that I did that. When it's all in the tummy, it's high cholesterol and the first signs of heart problems. The South Beach diet reverses that. Just thought I would mention it. Guest guest
That is because Flax Seed is an EFA and GLA and is what the body needs to burn fat. That is why fat free diets don't work. You remove the necessary fats from the diet and the body hangs onto what ever fats it can get then stores they. HGH deficiency and high levels of cortisol also cause belly fat. Guest guest
My mother in her 50's has had the extra tummy feeling and has tried everything. She exercises regularly and eats fairly well with lots of fruits and veggies but nothing. She recently went on a low carb/high protein diet just to see if it would work. It has worked like a charm! She has lost the entire thing in less than a month. Now she will start adding in her fruits and veggies again and she swares that if it starts coming back on she'll go low carb/high protein for a few weeks. Thought i'd mention it. Guest guest
can you give an example of what type of foods she ate that gave her help? I have multiple tummies and have the devil of a time trying to get rid of them. Marci <twilli55 wrote: My mother in her 50's has had the extra tummy feeling and has tried everything. Guest guest
- Read the book Fast Track one-day Detox Diet, I think it has some great ideas. I haven't done the diet yet but I have started walking, drinking lots of water, and eating more healthy. I have started to lose, it is coming off very slowly, but that is the best was to lose. the High protein, low carb diets are bad for you and if you lose on them it won't stay off -- In , Abdullahi AbdurRahman <draadewu wrote: > > High every body > > Recently my tummy has been getting fatter, not so bad, but I don't like it. any help? > > Thanks >
Guest guest
Sorry haven't been on for a couple days--my mom ate a lot of protein (tuna, peanut butter or other butters, any meat, lots of cheese or anything else you can find with protein). She stuck to under 12 carbs a day and didn't eat fruits or veggies as they contain carbs too. It certainly isn't a " healthy " way to eat permently but for a short term thing it will definately work. She has been doing it for about 3 weeks now and her stomach is flat...she will now add her nightly salad and maybe a piece of bread or two but if you notice it come back on just go back to the diet for a week or two. It has worked like a charm plus you feel pretty full because it's all protein. Marci
Guest guest
Caution: Atkins may help you lose weight, but it also deprives the brain of necessary carbs. You have to have carbs...use " Low Glycemic Index " carbs*, Good fats and Lean protien. You will lose weight. 40% is LGI* carbs, 30% good fats, 30% Lean protien. South Beach tends to follow the 40-30-30 plan without depriving the brain of carbs. I have known of deaths from use of the Atkins diet. Brain starves you will get all sorts of nasty things going on in the body that can actually damage your body and brain. Lots of fresh water to flush toxins. 30 minutes of exercize daily that breaks a sweat, 40 minutes of meditaion daily will also help with weightloss. Guest guest
Not having any vegetables or fruits long term can cause malnutrition issues. Use Low Glycemic Index vegetable and fruits instead. Also too much protein is known to cause a build up of Uric Acid which causes gout. Lean proteins at no more than 30% of your diet. You can get protiens from Legumes (soy and garbanzo beans are highest in protein),sprouted nuts, peanut butter, tuna, salmon, mackeral..etc Jenny Kernan --- Marci <twilli55 wrote: > Sorry haven't been on for a couple days--my mom ate > a lot of protein (tuna, peanut butter or other > butters, any meat, lots of cheese or anything else > you can find with protein). Guest guest
That is exactly why I said it is a " short-term " solution. You only have to do it for few weeks and later on maybe a week here or there...a week here and there is not going to kill you although as I stated before--anyone reading this- " this is not a long term solution nor a way of eating for life " and as far as atkins or any of those other protein diets go it's the same thing. Eating this way strictly forces to body to burn the fat because you're not intaking many carbs--it burns fat extremely quickly because of this and is not needed long term if you're only trying to get rid of some mid-age tummy fat.
