Guest guest
Greetings, I have fibromyalgia, lymes disease and lymphedema and i need some help in the vitamin department. I don't have an appitite and i have been this way for many years. I recently found out half a year ago about the lymphedema. I didn't know what hit me and talk about a shock to my body and mind. I am still in denial and i have dreams that i am dying of cancer. I cannot help but think this and to dream it too burns me out big time! I don't sleep, I am a complete mess and i don't get involved with too much other than a lymphedema group on the internet, which i am grateful for. I tend to float in and out depending my state of mind. My lymphedema comes from surery 25 years ago. The doctor who did the surgery must have done something to my lymphnodes when i had my hysterectomy. I had ovarien cancer. I was blessed to have my two sons prior to this surgery. Well, i don't know alot about all this, but i can tell you now i pray no other's have to go through this....(although i am sure you are out there). More and more young women are hit hard by this papallomium disease too...sorry, i don't know how to spell it...not at 4:30 am anyways, lol. Do you believe this is passed down from mom? I was told i had this and when i heard it on tv about a month or so ago, i nearly feel. It was at least 25 years ago i was told i had this. This doctor looked at me and my husband and said that one of us were having an affair because i had this papallomium disease. I was shocked and said, " Hey, not me " ! Of course my husband at the time said the same thing. I knew it wasn't me so he was the guilty one. Can you imagine what this did to our marriage...yup, surely convinced him that i was the one and so our relationship went downhill after what the doctor said. What an idiot! The ex still says today that i had got this disease from having too much of (shhh...u know that dirty word, SEX). Needless to say i believed him and still do. I have not spoken much about it to anyone thinking i was a bad person all these years cause the ex told me i was. I was not the one guilty of messing around and still sure it was the ex. This ruined our marriage....i did not trust him... Thanks for listening, Hugs to all, ~^~CAROL~^~ _______________ Valentine’s Day -- Shop for gifts that spell L-O-V-E at MSN Shopping http://shopping.msn.com/content/shp/?ctId=8323,ptnrid=37,ptnrdata=24095 & tcode=wl\ mtagline
Guest guest
Hi Carol, So sorry about your health. Another good reason not to go to the doctor! What a jerk! While any sick body will need nutrients, I have to wonder if you would absorb vitamins. Most people with fibromyalgia have trouble absorbing nutrients. In your situation a detox would be a better place to start and rather than taking vitamins, increase your intake of fruits and greens in the form of a green smoothie. A green smoothie is a combination of any fruits (60-70%) mixed with greens like kale, romaine, spinach, cilantro, parsely, etc. Kale is a good one to start with and a few frozen strawberries will make it tastier if you're not used to this type of diet. Just blend them together. Drink right away (don't make a full day's supply at once). Expect to use the toilet more often and you start to cleanse. This will give you tons of absorbable nutrients. Since you don't have an appetite, you'll find this easier than making a meal and there's enough calories packed in one glass to keep you going and give you energy although you may feel a bit worse the first few days. Ionic detox footbaths will charge your cells with energy and get the lymph system moving. I would expect your ankles to be more swollen for a day or so after this but eventually they will slim down as toxins are released. This can get expensive but is worth it even if you only do a few. Shop around for a practitioner. If you can't afford this, get a pair of magnetic insoles from Nikken. There's about a 90% chance of them helping you for the lymph and energy. Use EFT (www.emofree.com) to deal with the cancer fear. If you want to write to me off-group at hotmocha, I'll make a few more recommendations (copy and paste this whole email so I'll remember all the details) for the brain fog. Glad you found this group. There's wealth of information to be found here.
