Guest guest
This article gives you a good reason to drink red wine. However, don't overdo. Anything overdo will have its adverse effect; consume in moderation. Wishing everyone good health. Results of various studies have indicated that daily consumption of three to five glasses of red wine reduced all-cause mortality by an amazing 49% compared to non-drinkers, which is great news for antiaging aficionados. Now, this may sound great and it is, but greater results can be achieved more easily. The reason that the red wine works in anti-aging is because it's a great source of resveratrol. Harvard Medical School and the National Institute of Aging report that a natural substance found in red wine, known as resveratrol, offsets the bad effects of a high-calorie diet in mice and significantly extends their lifespan. The resveratrol supplements generally contain a potent combination of nutrients high in antioxidants. An article was published in the November 2006 edition of the prestigious science journal Nature. Researchers from Harvard Medical School and the National Institute of Aging reported on a study performed in mice given resveratrol. Guest guest
I used to have a book about Resveratrol. It really does what it says although I'd skip the wine on a regular basis and go for a capsule. It's quite an expensive product to produce and you should be able to feel it working so make sure you don't buy some cheap stuff that doesn't work. Price should be around a dollar a capsule or even more. I haven't taken it regularily myself but when I worked for a Chinese herb company, it was a good seller and I even had a doctor who healed herself of breast cancer taking it afterwards. She said it kept her tissue soft. Of course the odd glass of red wine won't hurt most people and it can be good if you have to eat at a restaurant since it will help with digestion. Guest guest
If red wine was indeed so effective in anti-aging, wouldn't it be logical that red-wine consuming communities (who have been consuming red wine daily for generations) should see larger life spans, on an average, as compared to those who don't consume this. Research and observation doesn't bear this out. The maximum age-span communities (as an average) on this planet are from non red-wine consuming communities. I wonder why? This is not to detract us from its benefits, tho. Khushroo ---------- I used to have a book about Resveratrol.
