Guest guest
Can I give my son apple cider vinager? He is 3 1/2 yo and the docs have him on Prevacid for reflux. Also, he probably won't drink it but does have a feeding tube. Will the effects be the same if I put it directly into his stomach? Guest guest
Oh wow. I don't think I'd try that--directly into his stomach. I make a tonic called anti-plague, to stave off colds and flu. It works great. It's a Dr. Schulze formula that you use the hottest onions you can find, horseradish, garlic, ginger and hot peppers all blended with ACV--apple cider vinegar. You let it sit for 2 weeks and strain and it's incredibly anti-everything (anti-viral, bacterial, etc). Schulze suggests taking one ounce at a time and just knocking it back, not sipping it. Normally, if you take that as soon as you feel something coming on, it will stop it fast. You might only have to take it twice--once morning and once evening--and the yucky feeling will be gone, and you don't get sick. But one time I started feeling bad when I woke up, but was in a hurry to be someplace so didn't take it, and while I was gone all day I just kept getting worse and worse. By the time I got home that evening I had a cold. So I just went to bed because I felt so miserable. The next morning I thought " well, I'll just start taking the anti-plague all day, that should work " . So I would take one ounce at a time, about every 2 hours. After the fourth dose my stomach started burning a bit. Being stupid, and not listening to my stomach I continued 2 more doses. By that last dose my stomach was REALLY hurting due to all the ACV. Now, I cannot take even one dose of the anti-plague because as soon as that one ounce of ACV hits my stomach it sets it on fire. So, even though you are diluting the ACV, I'd think twice about putting it in his feeding tube. It might not hurt him, but I'd be afraid to take the chance.
