Guest guest
Lots of love and patience. My cat (passed away a couple of months ago) died at the VERY OLD age of 25. He was diagnosed @20 years old. And beware of the " Insane Behavior " . LOL And cover your toes. LOL I am sure with proper diet and medication he/she will live a bit longer, and spoiled. Give him/her space to do what they need to do. Remember we are all here for you. Guest guest
Check out the site for Feline Medicine Chest on the net. It's all alternative. Start feeding some raw food (meat - organic if you can get it) and back off on foods with too much cereal grain in them - particularly corn. keria Keria Rossin Administrative Assistant University of Michigan - TCAUP 2000 Bonisteel Blvd. Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2069 T. 734.764.1300 F. 734.763.2322 Expect a miracle! Guest guest
Change their food. When I worked at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, many of the cats that came to live with us had kidney and thyroid issues. The vets would change the diet to a dry & moist food that supported Urinary tract issues. The kidney issues would go away. The thyroid was also part of diet. Of course Quantum Biofeedback can also be done on children and pets. Lots of practitioners work on pets, cattle, horses etc. Jenny Kernan --- rosie8336 <rosiedhoopun wrote: > Hi > > I have a twenty year old cat who has been diagnosed > with kidney and > thyroid problems. Guest guest
Home adminstered sub q fluids may help, but you may find some help at the feline renal group also: http://pets.Caring-for-CRF-Felines/? yguid=209659157 Is your cat hypo or hyper? Just wondering as I've heard of more cats than thought going hypothyroid. It was previously thought to be rare. My thoughts are with you and your cat. -Michele , " rosie8336 " <rosiedhoopun wrote: > > Hi > > I have a twenty year old cat who has been diagnosed with kidney and > thyroid problems. Guest guest
I can't recommend enough that you join the holisticat and/or visit holisticat.com where you can find archives and articles about any number of cat subjects. The members of Holisticat are amazingly well versed in good treatments for all kinds of cat diseases, and many have had great success in continuing a cat's quality of life, even after a vet has given up or recommended euthanasia. Guest guest
many cats get those kinds of issues from their years of consuming commercial cat kibble that they really werent designed to eat, most cats are chronically dehydrated. A natural raw diet will do wonders for a cat if you can get them to switch. Terri K - Jenny Kernan Tuesday, January 16, 2007 12:38 PM Re: Cat with kidney and thyroid problems Change their food.
