Guest guest
Research shows selenium especially when used in conjunction with vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene , works to block chemical reactions that create free radicals in the body (which can damage DNA) and cause degenerative change in cells, leading to Cancer. Selenium - mushrooms, egg yolks, seafood, poultry and kidney, liver and muscle meats contain the mineral. Garlic, onions, broccoli , asparagus, tomatoes, whole grains, brazil nuts and barley. Vitamin E - vegetable oils such as palm oil, sunflower, canola, corn, soybean and olive oil. Nuts, sunflower seeds, seabuckthorn, berries, and wheat germ are also good sources. Other sources of vitamin E are whole grains, fish, peanut butter, and green leafy vegetables. ß-carotene - in yellow, orange, and green leafy fruits, and vegetables. These can be carrots, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, cantaloupe, orange, and winter squash. http://99health.blogspot.com/
