Help Ensure That Drug Companies Give Us Facts

I just watched a fun (HILARIOUS!! sad, but true) animation and song posted to

http://www.PrescriptionforChange.org! Come take a look and then tell

Congress to make prescription

drugs safer. They are conducting hearings this week and

need to hear from

consumers.

 

Recently it came to light that a drug company knew its drug

might

increase the risk that teens would consider suicide--but

didn't have to tell

the public. Because we have no way to track drug company

studies, it

is easy for a company to hide information that shows its

product in a

negative light. We need a clinical trial registry to make

it impossible

for drug companies to hide information from patients and

doctors about

studies they conduct. And, we need to strengthen safety

oversight at

the FDA!
