Vitamin A toxicity!

I have needed such massive doses of nutrients for so long due to

malabsorbtion problems and have just recently started to feel

instinctively like I'm there, like I need to start backing off the

supplements, and wouldn't you know.

I am big on cranberry juice, hardly ever have orange juice, and had

some that day of the first " attack " . Had corn tonight, and cheese,

before the second attack, and all those things are high in Vitamin

A. And although I normally *love* mangos, I had on the other day and

could hardly get the first few bites down and didn't finish it. It

just felt wrong, my body didn't want it. Orange and yellow foods. Ha!

So, I messed myself up good. So I just knock off the supplemental A

and wait? Did I really do some damage or will it heal?

My lips have been chapped for so long now, and I couldn't figure out

why other people didn't seem to have that problem! Vit. A!

Whew. I feel so much better having figured this out but now I'm

worried about the damage I've done. Maybe since the pain just

started I just hit the wall and didn't do too much harm.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Jen,

First, how did you know you had or have malabsorbtion problems?

Years of misery, lack of help from western docs and consequently a

hell of a lot of research with input from some very good alternative

healers.
