Guest guest
Hi All, Glad to find this list...have a question for you. A brief history...mercury toxicity discovered 7 years ago, (no worries, all fillings removed, some chelation done). I need more supplements than most people but have gotten to a point where I feel fairly normal now and probably healthier than many people. I've have had evvvvvery symptom in the book (almost all of them gone now) and have learned a lot about my own body and symptoms and medicine in general. (I am a bit underweight, 38, and I eat well.) But...never ever had back pain. I did a gall bladder/liver flush last week, because I was having neck pain (no back pain) after eating a high-fat meal, which I never had before, and true to form, I had exactly the opposite reaction to the flush that they predict. Stools got firmer, nothing funky or green or stonelike was flushed out. No nausea, no pain, oil and lemon was a little icky but went down fine. Lost my bile production for about 48 hrs afterward, then it returned, and been ok for about a week now. On Friday though, after eating a turkey/avocado sandwich I got lower right back pain (my right, on the liver side) and I'd had a lot of kidney stones when I was really sick (none for about 6 years now, needed magnesium and iron) so I worried for a second it was that, but tapped on my kidney and no pain in the kidneys. But it's a similar pain and it hurts only on that side and hurts a bit worse when I stand on my right leg (stones didn't act that way on my body). I came home and took a nap and when I woke up a few hrs later, it was gone. Tonight, ate normally, was just fine, then had one little wedge of smoked cheese for " dessert " , even though I was no longer really hungry...I know wrong...wrong...but it was tiny, just for flavor... (I allow myself one tiny sliver of cheese a day, so I'm not a big dairy eater) and within minutes, that pain came back. It's been 40 minutes and it's a bit better, I'm still sitting sideways though. Very slight neck pain/ache, but not much...nothing like the back pain. I did a flush 6 years ago and there weren't any stones from that flush either. Is it possible that the flush and the two days of fasting (only apple juice) stressed out my liver, or caused it to turn down it's function and it will just take a little time for it get back up to speed? Not having any more evidence of low bile- production. I'd have pale stools if this was a gall-bladder attack wouldn't I? I did get a severe case of sciatic pain for 4 days from the fasting too, which started on day two of the fasting -- yowz...no fun.... I'd be very grateful for any input about this. I am taking Xiao Yao Wan, which really does wonders, my body really needs it and I take it daily. I can get my fingers under my rib cage so my liver isn't swollen. Is there any chance this is related to some kind of liver disease or cancer? Or could too much Vitamin A cause this kind of pain? Since it happens after high fat meals (not meals that have been high in A), I really think it's about fats. Also taking kidney and spleen herbs. Herbs were a very important part of my recovery. If this is a stone thing...what would you recommend? Anyone heard of Gold Coin Grass? Supposed to dissolve stones slowly? Thanks so much...
