Guest guest
Dear Danna, I've been practicing chiropractic for over 20 years. There is no argument over the benefits of wearing seat belts. However, setting up roadblocks to give law enforcement officers an opportunity to search vehicles with drug sniffing dogs and fining people to profit whichever government agency gets the money from the fines is not my idea of being concerned about the people's health. Why doesn't the insurance industry that would profit from less payments in claims pay for public service announcments to educate and motivate people to wear seat belts? However, parents who do not confine their children in care seats..... those should be pulled over and ticketed with heafty fines. If you were pulled over at a road block in a long line as I have experienced, you'd have time to click it to avoid the ticket anyway. Thank you, Dr. Sandra Lance, D.C. ---- Original Message ----- <DannaTennis Sunday, January 30, 2005 12:18 AM Re: Law, Seat Belt, Click It or Ticket > > > I am opposed to cops stopping people for fake Seat Belt crimes. Guest guest
The Australian slogan is very blunt, they like straightforwardness here. There is a billboard that says " wear it, or wear $225. " My personal favourite is the anti-smoking commercials that show someone tipping all these chemicals together like anti-freeze and brake fluid etc. and then drinking it and then the person exhales smoke. lol Brandon On Sun, 30 Jan 2005 00:18:15 EST, DannaTennis <DannaTennis wrote: > > I am opposed to cops stopping people for fake Seat Belt crimes. Guest guest
Hi All, In the UK we have had seatbelt laws for about 20yrs and they have saved lives but it does not stop there. The motorist is an easy target and now you can be fined for taking a swig from a bottle of water or a bite from an apple whilst driving but hey you get burgled and your on your own, unless of course you try to defend your property and then the burglar sues you for assault. Best wishes Chris _________ ALL-NEW Messenger - all new features - even more fun! http://uk.messenger.
