Hi Jerry:

 

I thought I'd ask you what your opinion is on

 

1) getting old root canals cleaned and using a bridge (non-metallic -

" Procera " ) in its place. What have you seen in your practice as far

as health problems as related to the teeth and their effects on the

meridians etc??

 

2) effects of nickel crowns (#8 & 9) on health in general and on

meridians etc??

I cannot give you comprehensive answer without actually seeing the problem.

I am retired - have no experience with Procera nor do I have confidence

in its ability to maintain the integrity of your bite. The average man's

biting pressure is 300 pounds/square inch - or 62,000 lbs on the tip of a

cusp. Plastics, over time, would distort and give you grief.

Your best bet would be a gold/platinum alloy. Nickel is carcinogenic -

invites cancer. I wrote the Forward to " The Root Canal Cover-Up EXPOSED "

and don't know what you mean by ''--getting old root canals cleaned... " You

might get a second opinion on all this by visiting a 'health oriented'

dentist. Would you like a referral?
