Letter to the RENO GAZETTE-JOURNAL in Defense of Free Speech.

 

 

 

 

Dear Editor,

 

 

 

After reading your article " Sen. Reid's Aide Arrested at Bush

Inauguration " it solidifies my opinion that we are not really living

in a free society where a man named Nathan Ackerman was arrested for

asserting his first amendment rights which is free speech. When

President Bush uses our military to allegedly bring freedom to Iraqi

citizens where those in our military die for our freedoms such as

Nathan Ackerman was expressing, it only goes to show the hypocrisy

coming out of this Administration and supported by the Republican led

government. In the first four years of Pres. Bush's rule over this

country, free speech has been attacked many times and I was hoping for

a change, but sadly and angrily I see none forth coming. Are these

shades of Nazi Germany? You betcha!
