Guest guest
I saw this, thought it was pretty good for TV. This show often raised provocative ethical questions: assisted suicide, abortion, more... At the same time, this show, like all the cop shows that I've seen, also portrays " people with mental illness " as people who, if they don't take their meds, they are homicidal maniacs. The show did show the greed of the pharmaceutical company, of course, we know this is the norm, not an aberation. ellen In , " califpacific " <califpacific> wrote: > > > SSRI-Research@ > Sun, 23 Jan 2005 12:19:00 -0500 > > [sSRI-Research] NBC: Law & Order episode " Coming Down Hard " - > secret testing program for an antidepressant that has resulted in many > suicides. > > [-- this was re-aired last night... said it all...] > > > Law & Order > NBC Jan 22 08:00pm > Series/Drama, 60 Mins. > > " Coming Down Hard " > > Detectives investigate the deaths of two college students and find > both were participating in a pharmaceutical company's secret testing > program for an antidepressant that has resulted in many suicides. > > Cast: Sam Waterston, Dennis Farina, Jesse L.
