Guest guest
My daughter possibly has whooping cough. She is 2 years old. Right now I am watching her to see how frequent/long her coughing episodes are. Before I take her to the doctor is there anything else I can be doing for her? I've dealt with croup with my son, but this is a totally different animal and I'm not sure if there's anything I can do at home. Any help is appreciated! Have a blessed day! I would recommend buying respiratory support by Herbs For Kids, INC.
Guest guest
With any type of infection the main thing is massive amounts of vitamin C which has been posted here many, many times. It is anti viral, anti bacterial, etc. I suggest that you go to our links page and read up on vitamin C. Guest guest
Use a vaporiser with some menthalatum in the water. You can often find a vaporiser cheap at a thrift store. Drugstores usually have them. You might call first to be sure. Otherwise, steam up the room with some boiling water with menthalatum added. Or you can take the child into the bathroom and let the shower run so the room will steam up. If it is night, just leave the lights off and hold the child in the steamy bathroom. Give the child plenty of fluid. My grandma gave honey and lemon juice mixed for coughs. It never seemed to help, but I loved the taste and the attention.
