I was informed by an African-American political activists that about 5-10 years

ago there was a Federal investigation into the number of A-A male children that

were on the " dumb check " being diagnosed as mentally ill, their parents

recieving the social security disability check as a welcomed addition to the

monthly income and being prescribed psychiatric medications thta can cause

agressive behavior as a side effect in Huntsville, Alabama. Last year an

attorney from Atlanta had to file a lawsuit for constitutional rights violations

in the overcrowded conditions of the Madison County Courhouse Jail. Madison

County reportedly has the highest per capita lucrative involuntary psychiatric

commitment rate than any county in Alabama. The commitment rate increased

approximately 3 'x the first year the Madison COunty Commission funded 4 Full

time Mental Health OFficer that are not required to honor the civil rights of

the alleged mentally ill by Commissioner Kathy Sawyer. There was a boy in

Huntsville that massequred his family including decapitation while under the

influence of psychiatric medications. Last year an attorney in Huntsville,

Alabama successfully settled a substantial settlement with the drug manufacturer

for causing the boy to kill his family.Chris Pittman's trial in S.C. is

scheduled for Jan. 30, 2005.

The Manufacturers of Zoloft are providing legal counsel to the D.A.. Madison

County D.A. Morgan is prosecuting a child as an adult but I do not know for what

crime.
