Guest guest
RE: Dr Lance's Grandma's pet food Of course I wasn't there, but there was no processed pet food and if there was I'm sure it wasn't on the budget. I'm sure they must have been fed the parts of the animals that were slaughtered that weren't for human consumption or found their own survival foods in the wild. You make an excellent point-our own food supply is tainted so how do we feed our pets a healthy diet when we ourselves don't have that available to us thanks to the FDA. Of course, no worry. There are plenty of very expensive drugs that the FDA not only doesn't guarantee your safey by not putting them on the market but threaten and intimidate scientists such as Dr. Graham who will be public about genocidal drugs like Vioxx and Celebrex that Congress will have the taxpayers fund for Medicare recipients in and out of expensive nursing homes. What about vaccinations for pets. Are they any safer that the ones Americans inject their children with? Sandra Lance, D.C. As I chose this as my first-of-the-morning email...I was glad I at least had my coffee first! This is horrid, but I'm not surprised. As to the question posed by Tom, I see no answers! (Yet.) I give up--what SHOULD we feed our pets? I think Dr Lance's Grandma's cats ate mice, but I'm not sure about the dogs...perhaps they ate the cats? But then we're back to pet food being....well....pets! So, I must be wrong. (?) But, armed with the info from that link, and my own instincts that this was going on, I'd like to know what IS nutritional and safe (relatively) for pets. If our own meat and poultry is tainted--and cats and dogs are carnivores, I hope nobody suggests we feed our kitties tuna-flavoured tofu--;-)--what DO we feed them? I don't think Fluffy or Fido would cotton to anything less than meat, but I may be wrong. Any answers? The links are informative as to what the pet food industry is doing (or not doing) but they don't provide any alternative. I hope there is one... Happy Holidays everyone! :-D -Glenna/Seattle - DrLance ; DrLance Cc: Friday, December 24, 2004 8:23 AM Health, Pet Food, UNPOLLUTED PET FOOD RE: Pet Food Dear Friends, When I am confronted with a perplexing question such as what should we feed our pets when we are informed that what we have been feeding them is not unsurprisingly unsafe. The religion of our generation is " science " supposedly deriving at answers to our questions as humans about how best to manage our lives to avoid expensive and disabling disease with scientific experimentation. Yet repeatedly we hear in the news that the government agencies such as the FDA don't actually perform scientific experiements on the items they regulate to supposedly protect our safety (i.e. genocidal Vioxx killing 55,000 in 4/1/2 years, HRT causing cancer, antidepressents causing CHILDREN to commit suicide) so I prefer to contemplate the more simple time in our history when human beings lived off the soil before the Federal Reserved started seizing the fruits of our labors through he IRS and the beggiinning of the Naional ID was started with " social security " with the assignment of our SS numbers from womb to tomb tracking. Both my parents grew up on farms in Tennessee before Daddy was drafted before he graduated from H.S. for WWII. They didn't have to worry bout the perplexing problem of not wanting to feed their animals the expensive garbage swept off a floor or the remains of animals that couldn't be sold for human consumption. Their perplexing problem was if they were going to make enough off that year's crop to feed their kids and themselves from the animals and the fruits and vegetables they could reap from their family soil. They had dogs to warn them if there was an intruder before there were phones for 911 to protect their lives and property and they had cats to keep the field mice out of the corn in the barn that had to be conserved as fuel to feed the mules to till the soil to be able to grow the crop to avoid stavation.. Now, you figure it out for yourself, what did my Grandmother, Hazel Lance Sanders feed her dogs and cats? Happy Holidays, Dr. Sandra Hazel Lance Sanders, D.C. 800 309 6560 _______ Okay, so what should we feed our pets?
