Guest guest
Dear Dr. Mittleman, I practice Sacro-Occipital Chiropractic Technique that you probably already know is one of the two chiropractic techniquest that uses cranipathy that effects dental occusion. I have a patient who did have to have a bicuspid removed after the dentist could not control it with antibiotics. She was not the greatest of patients so I do not know if it could have been saved if she had kept he appointments to have maximum nerve supply via the trigeminal cranial nerve. It's been about 6 weeks since the extraction and she reports that the maxila is not completely without soreness which concerns me that she has an infection that may have already spread to another tooth or is perhaps in the bone. She does not relish the idea of an oral surgeon going back into the healed missing tooth area to scrape our whatever is still in there that is sore. Now that she's lost this tooth she's now highly motivated not to become the toothless wonder unless she changes her lifestyle. What " drastic " measure can she take naturally to save the rest of her teeth? I've gotten her to wean herself sufferingly off the soft drinks. She says she's given up the good ole Southern Sweet tea but I suspect she's still a little on that after all those years of cultural programming. Is there any supplementation that can arrest a probable infection that is till appearing in the gum as when she took the antibiotics she got the yeast infections and bloated up with those. I am posting this as a public message as with so many baby boomers reaching the age of endangered teeth that will either last the a lifetime or relegate them to the wearing of dentures which interfers with the maxilla and proper cerebro-spinal flow and cranial movement with the primary sacral respiratory mechanism which can lead to impaired mental function, this is probably a silent epidemic. Also, do you agree that people should get the mercury out of their teeth? And, one more question. Do you have any research on the relationship between mercury fillings and " mental illness " ? With so much in the news about the FDA Congressional hearing where they admit they know the drugs they have approved are causing CHILDREN to commit suicide and, unlike the UK have not removed them from the market, I wonder how many that are languishing in State Mental Institutions would be free if they didn't serve soft drink containing aspartame and removed the mercury from their mouths? Thank you, Sandra Lance, D.C.
