[Health&Healing] Professor Canned For Releasing Paper on GM Corn Contamination

Science has risen almost to the level of a sacred secular religion-

if it is scientific it must be true... Partly due to the extensive

process required for scientific inquiry... But what if facts are

intentionally left out, if studies are suppressed? Obviously, for

science to work at its best, it must be impartial...

But today, regarding one of the most important scientific

discussions possible, the facts are being intentionally squelched..

Considering how this impacts the genetic purity of our food for time

to come, please consider supporting this professor in his attempt to

study and publish what should have been THOROUGHLY studied and

published BEFORE we started tinkering with GM foods.

Can we afford to let self-interested parties control the scientific

process?

ACTION ALERT: PROFESSOR CANNED FOR RELEASING PAPER ON CORN

CONTAMINATION

A well-respected and popular professor at the University of

California in Berkeley has been fired after publishing a scientific

paper regarding the uncontrolled contamination of irreplaceable

native Mexican corn varieties by genetically engineered corn. Dr.

Ignacio Chapela, whose corn contamination article was published in

the science journal " Nature, " was denied his tenure due to pressure

from the biotech company Monsanto on the University (the UC Berkeley

tenure review panel had actually voted almost unanimously to approve

his tenure). Professor Chapela has been told to have his office

cleaned out by December 31. Sign a petition to demand a review of

Dr. Chapela's tenure denial. Sign here...

Hello,

isn't it possible to act against the company because of blackmail against

the university?
